Anyone here with a college degree that regrets their decision/didn't provide them with any good opportunities?

I'm beginning to doubt it will be a worthwhile investment of time/money. Regardless, my problem to figure out.

I'm going for an associate of arts in Philosophy. The hope was to look for employment in a tech company as they apparently hire philosophy majors, though I'm starting to doubt my prospects. May need to switch course and pursue trade school because (I guess) it is the more practical option.

At the end of the day, it will just require research on my part. Not sure why I'm inquiring. idk, perhaps just to get other thoughts.

Yes.

I have some experience with Python. May be a route to take.

What's our timeline on the collapse?

Because I am not prepared.

Ah. Mmkay

Sounds painful.

Pretty dead in here. I guess it's almost 3am east coast.

The desert is safer. Everyone's first choice is the forest.

With that said the desert is a much harsher environment; good survival/hunting skills are obv essential.

Skills of which I don't have, so would be a fun scenario for me. ofc most have no idea how to survive outside of society.

Gay Ops ๐Ÿค”

Ah.

Ideally you'd find a river then boil water. If you can't find a river you'd have to rely on rain.

Which isn't dependable, yeah, but most don't think about choosing to go to a desert; less humans, better chance at survival as your biggest threat will be other humans.

Right

I live close to a desert, one with a large river as well. Not saying my odds would be great, but better than many perhaps.

What time zones are you guys in? Early morning?

Ah. 2am here.

Wasn't sure if we had any UK guys.

Same. Was just curious

West. Idaho

It is very nice. We experience all four seasons here pretty consistently. Temperatures in fall/spring are great. People's attitudes here are pretty relaxed compared to elsewhere

Probably

And Idaho is currently the fastest growing state in the US. It will likely look very different a decade from now.

Yeah

I'd say I'm mostly indifferent to it. I personally don't mind the growth, though the state will likely become more progressibe due to the large number of Californians moving here.

progressive*

Agreed.

Yep. Everyone will drive a mandatory microcar.

It is. And something needs to be done. People must be saved from themselves.

/s

I'd like to own a firearm in the near future. Only self defense currently is a pocket knife ๐Ÿค” That won't do.

How tall are you?

Ah. 6'5 here. But slender; not much muscle

lol perhaps

That would be me. Started talking about time zones

Said I lived in Idaho

Yeah not sure what they were thinking. Native influence, idk

lol

The problem is that too many states are boring. Most are boring rectangles.

Yeah that makes no sense.

Likewise

xD

No.

Would be advised to set up a doctor's appointment

Unfortunately I can't afford a doll right now, a nice one at least. So I'll have to wait.

It is, and he can legally call for a national emergency from what I understand. @PatrickLux666

He seems to be showing weakness as of late. Not sure why. He could do it if he wanted to.

Yes.

Are you black? lol @haku.

Time is TBA

Feb 5

Need a few more billions to be economically feasible.
