Yeah, that's what i assume. But relying on rain in a desert sounds like a death sentance. Lol.

2019-01-29 08:54:50 UTC

Which isn't dependable, yeah, but most don't think about choosing to go to a desert; less humans, better chance at survival as your biggest threat will be other humans.

2019-01-29 08:54:57 UTC

Right

2019-01-29 08:55:17 UTC

and it might be hard to find a reliable way to keep a fire going so you can boil water

2019-01-29 08:55:24 UTC

If I could get enough fuel I'd consider it, I could distill salt water if I can get to the ocean

2019-01-29 08:56:21 UTC

Though, an electric rig with a means to take the water out of the air or some way to dig deep enough to find water might be a good idea if it's an option.

2019-01-29 08:56:21 UTC

I'd like another 4 years to prepare tbh anything before that and I'm in the shit

2019-01-29 08:57:05 UTC

The former is likely not given water in the air is so low it's useless in a desert. But it's an idea.

2019-01-29 08:57:32 UTC

Best thing you can do is get out of the city before it goes down

2019-01-29 08:57:57 UTC

I'm in a small town with the nearest larger city being several miles out. So i'm good on that.

2019-01-29 08:58:08 UTC

I'm in a large city

2019-01-29 08:58:15 UTC

Rip.

2019-01-29 08:58:16 UTC

ya if you could pull long term mobile ocean survival you would really be set

2019-01-29 08:58:41 UTC

I do have a boat but long term I don't think it's an option

2019-01-29 08:58:45 UTC

the closest big city is 8 hours away

2019-01-29 08:59:34 UTC

Oh yeah that would be great, if i had the option i would love to hang out in the ocean in a huge ship. Independant rigging/utilities plus internet via satelite. That would be great. Only downsides is my health problems. One of which likely would spell my death if i ever stayed on deck while the sun's out. Lol.

2019-01-29 09:00:01 UTC

I live close to a desert, one with a large river as well. Not saying my odds would be great, but better than many perhaps.

2019-01-29 09:00:04 UTC

lol might make life a bit rough

2019-01-29 09:00:22 UTC

Yeah boat life probably isn't for you

2019-01-29 09:01:31 UTC

What time zones are you guys in? Early morning?

2019-01-29 09:01:53 UTC

Me? I'm nocturnal and it's like 3 AM here.

2019-01-29 09:01:59 UTC

ya it's 2 am

2019-01-29 09:01:59 UTC

1am

2019-01-29 09:02:06 UTC

Ah. 2am here.

2019-01-29 09:02:31 UTC

Ah, well i guess we're all gonna be up for awhile. Lol.

2019-01-29 09:02:36 UTC

uhhh pefffttpeff pefffffefef

2019-01-29 09:02:38 UTC

7pm

2019-01-29 09:02:39 UTC

Wasn't sure if we had any UK guys.

2019-01-29 09:02:58 UTC

I'm American. Haha.

2019-01-29 09:03:17 UTC

Same. Was just curious

2019-01-29 09:04:00 UTC

Glad i ain't in UK to be honest, or anywhere over there. Looks pretty derped over there.
Cool, west coast or east? I'm more to the east side, though it's several hours to the shore here. Lol.

2019-01-29 09:04:29 UTC

West. Idaho

2019-01-29 09:05:04 UTC

Oh cool. Is Idaho a nice place..? I think that one's known for their potatoes. Mmm...Potatoes.

2019-01-29 09:05:29 UTC

yeah very lax gun laws

2019-01-29 09:05:45 UTC

Idaho is a pain to navigate thu

2019-01-29 09:05:56 UTC

It is very nice. We experience all four seasons here pretty consistently. Temperatures in fall/spring are great. People's attitudes here are pretty relaxed compared to elsewhere

2019-01-29 09:06:10 UTC

its all those potatoes

2019-01-29 09:06:18 UTC

Probably

2019-01-29 09:07:02 UTC

Sounds like a place i would like to be. Here the summers are harsh, the winters aren't brutal enough and i'm out of place because everyone has told me i have a nothern accent despite never being further north than the scar from the old civil war on the map. Lol.

2019-01-29 09:07:29 UTC

And Idaho is currently the fastest growing state in the US. It will likely look very different a decade from now.

2019-01-29 09:07:36 UTC

Yeah
