"The progress of creating a more inclusive space for students of all different backgrounds has taken a long time to get to this point, as evidenced by the drawn out court cases we examined over the past decades, but the progress made is something to be proud of, and yet we must also realize that the fight to create an even more inclusive space is not over and that plenty of progress is left for us to make. When we as educators become complacent with the progress that others have made for us, our students suffer. The work of creating an inclusive space may seem like a lot at first, but it is worth it and makes the lives of educators easier because it helps the students learn the material more effectively, a win-win situation for educators and their students. As parts of society work to undo the progress that has been made in creating inclusive spaces, now is the time to work harder than ever to maintain the principles that have guided the education field towards inclusivity. "
