@Ironbard yeah I remember someone mentioning that in a call I have to do more research on it. Can you dm me links?

@Ironbard Do you think it has some relation to Cognitive Dissonance?

2019-02-06 16:10:56 UTC

I think it's similar to Machine Learning

2019-02-06 16:11:03 UTC

You're rewarding someone for their behavior in the wrong way

2019-02-06 16:11:05 UTC

So they think they are good.

@felldie1496 I'm no psychologist, so take the following with a grain of salt. I just thought it an interesting observation - if an old one. It was just thoroughly defined in the last 20-30 years.

At any rate, I think there are similarities, parallels, between the two - but they should not be used interchangeably, because they are not the same:

Cognitive dissonance occurs when you have conflicting data in your mind.

Dunning-Kruger occurs when you are lacking in data, or have too much of it - without enough self-awareness or when lacking awareness of others.

Thanks, i always thought that it was weird. The fact that the more I learn, the more i recognize I don't know shit.

2019-02-06 16:17:37 UTC

That's because your awareness is expanding - you're becoming aware of your blind spots.

2019-02-06 16:18:17 UTC

It can feel very disturbing in the beginning - because you probably won't be familiar with that feeling.

2019-02-06 16:19:02 UTC

It can make you fearful at first.

Yeah it is, but I think it's more annoying when people think they know a lot, and they brag about it. More common with Wymen

@lotodantes That is the case for many of the intellectuals, especially because they are typically extremely blue pilled - at least in my experience.

2019-02-06 16:22:45 UTC

intellectuals are gay

2019-02-06 16:23:05 UTC

@lotodantes I think the trick is to learn how to do an honest self-evaluation, if you need help with that, always ask a man - most women will be too afraid to hurt your feelings by telling their honest opinion.

2019-02-06 16:23:11 UTC

this

2019-02-06 16:23:19 UTC

@Ironbard Nice advice

2019-02-06 16:23:38 UTC

I think a real intellectual wouldn't call himself intellectual.

2019-02-06 16:23:42 UTC

2019-02-06 16:25:23 UTC

We do call ourselves intellectuals.
