Maybe you agree with Shakespeare? "Nothing either good or bad" ...but...Some have "moral knowledge" of what is right and wrong in their own realm, "thinking makes it so."

2018-09-16 00:06:28 UTC

You probably have some sense of what is moral to yourself, but you can also end up feeling like shit living in a way not befitting your own (unrealized) moral sense. It is possible to develop a moral knowledge that fits your understanding of the world and to some extent influences your behaviour. Some of us are less certain of our righteousness, while some have no problem chopping off heads for videos in accordance with their own moral superiority.

All of those would imply that those people would have moral knowledge of some sort, but how do they know that exactly?

2018-09-16 00:09:49 UTC

How does anyone know if raping someone is worse than donating to charity?

2018-09-16 00:09:59 UTC

Hello

2018-09-16 00:10:02 UTC

They do not. They may only know that their moral sensibilities align with their values.

2018-09-16 00:10:12 UTC

Vc one time

2018-09-16 00:10:24 UTC

But how does one know what one's values are?

2018-09-16 00:10:34 UTC

Asking ones self

2018-09-16 00:11:06 UTC

How many times and what if one values one thing at one moment only to abandon it the next?

2018-09-16 00:11:11 UTC

Experience only, I'd say. Sadly, some receive it from others in the form of religion/politics/"mommy said so"/friends/conformity/TV commercials.

2018-09-16 00:11:24 UTC

You only have the moment

2018-09-16 00:11:25 UTC

Rabbit hole discussion. :)

2018-09-16 00:11:26 UTC

What if someone values raping children?

2018-09-16 00:11:30 UTC

Your values will change throughout your life.

2018-09-16 00:11:33 UTC

You should focus on the moment only

2018-09-16 00:11:42 UTC

Not what one should or would become later

2018-09-16 00:12:04 UTC

@BlaqShiep Which moment? The one now or later?

2018-09-16 00:12:07 UTC

If one values raping children they will be shunned by all

2018-09-16 00:12:13 UTC

Now is the only moment

2018-09-16 00:12:21 UTC

So what if people shun them? Why should they care?

2018-09-16 00:12:29 UTC

You are over complicating now

2018-09-16 00:12:50 UTC

Who cares what they experience... What do YOU value?

2018-09-16 00:12:59 UTC

That is what is important

2018-09-16 00:12:59 UTC

Not sure...

2018-09-16 00:13:09 UTC

That is for you to find out

2018-09-16 00:13:14 UTC

I'm not even sure if value is a thing that can be understood...

2018-09-16 00:13:20 UTC

Here's a thought though--how many of us valued pussy. But come kenjataimu...as sure as the sun.

2018-09-16 00:13:40 UTC

Dont over generalize an objective thing of value what we value is inherently subjective

2018-09-16 00:14:08 UTC

I never valued "pussy"

2018-09-16 00:14:15 UTC

I did value women...

2018-09-16 00:14:29 UTC

Instinctually i assume...

2018-09-16 00:14:51 UTC

And now you do not.. at that moment you valued women, and in this one, you do not... So which moment is supposed to be the one of value?

2018-09-16 00:15:11 UTC

At the moment i did... That was that version of myself

2018-09-16 00:15:23 UTC

I know who he was and i do not fault him

2018-09-16 00:15:31 UTC

So, is there one self, many or none?

2018-09-16 00:15:49 UTC

Who i am now... I must proceed in the correct fashion or i am blasphemous to my own valuss

2018-09-16 00:16:01 UTC

There is one moment

2018-09-16 00:16:05 UTC

If you cannot find a fault with that self, why change him?

2018-09-16 00:16:16 UTC

Disregard self... Focus on now
