anyone else?

2018-10-17 01:30:24 UTC

Same with IT, engineering. Maybe one person on-site to run the robots.

2018-10-17 01:30:34 UTC

not as many will be needed, and of course....the pay will go down

2018-10-17 01:30:46 UTC

A lot of fields will see a great deal of automation, but never full automation

2018-10-17 01:30:56 UTC

That's asinine and improper future thinking

2018-10-17 01:31:00 UTC

@niquill Yeah it's down.

2018-10-17 01:31:15 UTC

But not for a looong time. Depending on the business. Most wont be able to afford it. The robot solutions will take years to be cheap enough for all businesses to get it, like all tech is when it's launched.

2018-10-17 01:31:26 UTC

Anyway, I have a business, am a one man shop......and go by REFERRAL only

2018-10-17 01:31:27 UTC

@MufflePuff I disagree 100% on the engineering.

2018-10-17 01:31:47 UTC

Yes, actual technicians... it will be reduced workforce but engineering/science/mathematics/etc will never be replaced.

2018-10-17 01:32:02 UTC

I think engineering will definitely be hit hard, but not for a long time.

2018-10-17 01:32:03 UTC

You need people correcting the algos running the world at that point.

2018-10-17 01:32:32 UTC

The chief engineer will be human, the plebes will be a robot workforce.

2018-10-17 01:32:39 UTC

I don't think any one profession will be hit less than engineering honestly.

2018-10-17 01:32:44 UTC

Harder, better, faster, stronger.

2018-10-17 01:32:50 UTC

Name of my sex tape.

2018-10-17 01:32:51 UTC

well, AI could teach math in a HS.....math is used in accounting.......a lot of it........and computers do a lot of my work

2018-10-17 01:33:13 UTC

I think engineering will be last to get hit.

2018-10-17 01:33:21 UTC

Agreed.

2018-10-17 01:33:26 UTC

Construction too.

2018-10-17 01:33:30 UTC

Hardware engineering was a SOLID field in 1989, by 1999.....it was over

2018-10-17 01:33:35 UTC

loooonnng time before the trust is established.

2018-10-17 01:33:41 UTC

Yes, manufacturing/construction is tough. Tesla is realizing this.

2018-10-17 01:33:50 UTC

@Deleted User Yeah 😦

2018-10-17 01:34:16 UTC

@Deleted User I feel the same about all my effort in machine learning. I feel like it will be outdated pretty quickly once all the main models are created.

2018-10-17 01:34:21 UTC

What will happen, a lot of work.....is going to be reduced in hours

2018-10-17 01:34:26 UTC

Yeah, I think there will always be jobs, but they will be hard to get into. Not many openings.

2018-10-17 01:34:51 UTC

fewer hours, and of course......less pay.....but not less stress or "expectations"

2018-10-17 01:34:55 UTC

I am really curious to see pornhub.com and twitch.tv traffic hits now that youtube is down....

2018-10-17 01:34:56 UTC

Just waiting for robot hookers. *sigh*

2018-10-17 01:35:27 UTC

Well, I work in infosec so I will always have a job breaking shit 😉

2018-10-17 01:36:42 UTC

Wow, imagine robot hookers in 40-50 years.

2018-10-17 01:36:51 UTC

I can't wait 😄

2018-10-17 01:37:01 UTC

The quality will be ridiculous.

2018-10-17 01:39:21 UTC

I'm actually glad YouTube is down... it made me realize how much time I spend on that damn site

2018-10-17 01:40:18 UTC

I am paranoid they're deleting all red pill/mgtow content.

2018-10-17 01:40:33 UTC

@Happy Humble Hermit If YouTube deletes all your shit, post it to archive.org 😄

2018-10-17 01:40:37 UTC

I love it! they're down......every teenage girl across the country is probably "self-harming" herself now because its down

2018-10-17 01:41:07 UTC

Naw, you'd have to take down twitter, facebook, youtube, twitch, snapchat and tiktok.

2018-10-17 01:41:18 UTC

Yeah, my mic isn't working.

2018-10-17 01:41:20 UTC

yeah...probably right there
