ugh......angry client. calls me at 6pm......needs work done immediately demands I come in at 8am. Told him I was booked til 3pm, and "that-isn't-good-enough-for-him" so I said "call up a CPA firm and wait two weeks" silence on his end. So agrees to 3pm, and then "doesn't want to pay me my usual rate" and out of the mild christian charity I do posess I agree to his lower offer. Gotta write up an agreement tonight. Gonna grab a shave and a shower. Be back in a bit

I work on the "free" market......so I can negotiate. If I was at a firm, the price would be set, and appointments would have to be made or a "service contract" signed. I don't do that, which gives me a clientel.....and the people I serve "dicker" with me at times, and know they can at least call me in a jam

Remember too, in the "free" market there is straight up old fashioned negotiation "Oh come on man.....you gotta come out at 8am" and I reply "The hell I am!" Try that in a firm
