Earlier Topic: @Kazemaru why is Tom Leykis an idiot?

2018-11-08 18:34:45 UTC

@MufflePuff he married 4 times

2018-11-08 18:35:04 UTC

Yes

2018-11-08 18:35:27 UTC

But hes very good at adressing angry women on his radio show as if they are just flies lol

2018-11-08 18:35:49 UTC

And he's probably going to marry again

2018-11-08 18:36:21 UTC

Hes just addicted lol. You can still be smart and not be able to follow what you know

2018-11-08 18:36:56 UTC

Not in the enviroment that he lives

2018-11-08 18:37:08 UTC

Free game

Earlier Topic: @Commanda Knuckel I think the common idea about AI being dangerous is that perhaps it won't WANT to kill us, but will find that humans are inefficient to the operations of the world (even detrimental) (which I must agree with) and that based on some calculations, humans will be seen as a threat to the planet and need to be dealt with.

2018-11-08 18:37:38 UTC

Nice

2018-11-08 18:38:49 UTC

I dont see AI doing that though

2018-11-08 18:39:06 UTC

i dont think that AI will have anything to do with environmental issues

2018-11-08 18:39:15 UTC

Besides we coded it and it has similar processing styles already

2018-11-08 18:39:26 UTC

Like it is already starting to have intuition etc

2018-11-08 18:40:19 UTC

But if were not retarded we will never give it free will

2018-11-08 18:40:27 UTC

I don't think Tom will marry again. Last time was like 10-15+ years ago.

2018-11-08 18:41:55 UTC

The other, more realistic argument (at least in my mind) is that AI can be programmed to do very bad things. That's very easily probable and that's why I agree with Elon that it should be regulated by the government, at least on some level.

2018-11-08 18:42:08 UTC

Thats impossible

2018-11-08 18:42:32 UTC

I'm not big on government involvement, but if it's completely open-sourced on every level, it could easily become a problem as it advances.

2018-11-08 18:42:38 UTC

It will be so easy to access it in the future

2018-11-08 18:42:46 UTC

U think there is any way to control basement dwelling nerds with computers and code writing skills making projects in github

2018-11-08 18:42:48 UTC

It's not impossible, arguably it's being done right now. Old news actually.

2018-11-08 18:42:54 UTC

Look at what hapoened with crypto

2018-11-08 18:43:07 UTC

Oh, the regulation?

2018-11-08 18:43:13 UTC

I'm sure they can find a way.

2018-11-08 18:43:13 UTC

New space age type shit popping up every day

2018-11-08 18:43:19 UTC

The government has nerds too.

2018-11-08 18:43:29 UTC

Yeah but

2018-11-08 18:43:35 UTC

Not enough for the billions of people

2018-11-08 18:43:41 UTC

And tor, darkweb

2018-11-08 18:43:44 UTC

Etc etc

2018-11-08 18:44:11 UTC

For every thing they implement there will be some random guy somewhere whos bored and got time enough to develop a counter thing

2018-11-08 18:44:13 UTC

Well there likely wouldn't be billions of threats. Only a small handful of people would likely be that advanced to use AI in that bad of a way.

2018-11-08 18:44:24 UTC

Hmm.... Alright, I will rephrase then: Tom Leykis WAS an idiot

2018-11-08 18:44:31 UTC

^

2018-11-08 18:44:34 UTC

Was

2018-11-08 18:44:35 UTC

Look at github

2018-11-08 18:44:48 UTC

I mean its not a small ammount

2018-11-08 18:45:04 UTC

That actively do these type of things in a very efficient way

2018-11-08 18:45:34 UTC

And with one click the source code is online forever and anyone can copy it and add to it with his own source code
