Style is fairly important.
MA-1s are all right but I think they're on the tail-end of a cycle of being popular. So they might be kind of played out.
They're not really all that expensive, though, so it probably doesn't matter.
I wouldn't recommend wearing leather unless you're sure you can pull it off.

In fact I believe some stats show German Shepherds as being involved with more injuries to humans. Probably much less severe incidents, sure.
