nz is their own country recognized by the international stage. They also killed thousands of people when they tried to colonize their lands (way back). They have their own constitution which australia doesn't
the index is based on tax and freedom in market
So it's basically a meaningless index then if it doesn't account for non-economic policies
New Zealand is a Anglo-Celtic nation state that unfortunately didn't become a state in 1901, it should of and incorporating it should be a foreign policy goal for Australia
Freedom of market does account for economic policies?
Should Australia annex nz?
By force?
nz is considered our little brother? that should be enough to explain the relationship
by force? probably not because that would result in a rise of New Zealand nationalism and anti-Australian sentiment, preferably they should be incorporated peacefully through referendum
America should just annex both Australia and New Zealand
That's never going to happen. The cultures are different. The only way that would ever happen if it was by force
Yeah America annexing Australia will never happen, New Zealand being annexed though, that's possible
of course the most likely future for Australia right now is to be colonized and become a de facto puppet state of China
it's never going to happen bro. The cultures are different. You think a little brother wants to walk in the same foot steps as their big brother?
Australia is already owned by china
"it's never going to happen bro." extreme doubt, people said the same thing about Federation
What if nick Fuentes takes over America? What if he annexes the world?
people often forget that in some states most Australians opposed Federation as late as the 1870s and 80s
it only took 2-3 decades for opinion to shift from anti-federation to pro-federation
the culture of Australia and New Zealand aren't really all too different, the culture of Melbourne and the culture of rural WA has more differences then Australia and NZ
the right to have guns more than 60% of nz agree with. that's a big difference. even tho it is illegal now. only 30% of people actually gave in their weapons
by the time nz even would make a more like what you're suggesting the west wouldn't even look like what we know it to be today.
The west wont look the same way if we dont stop Mass Immigration and Social Liberalism, once that has been achieved it will be relatively easy to incorporate NZ
obviously annexing NZ shouldn't be a primary goal rn but it should at the very least *be* a goal
no point in doing it at all. what benefit does australia get out of it? and what benefit does nz get out of it? australia and nz are both shiit hole countries with nothing of value to offer but natural resource's
The benefit is a united ethnos
this isn't a economic matter, it doesn't matter if New Zealand improves our economy or not
TBH this is the bigger problem I have with the idea of a 'white nation'. When I look at the countries that have larger white majorities I see a lot of welfare spending and a lack of basic civil rights. I mean, I like the Brits clearly I'm here from my fondness for a Brit YTer. But when I listen to their new 'right-wing' PM he was talking about socialized medicine and better enforcement of the laws keeping the populace unarmed. I thought it was the DNC debates. I was waiting for him to start speaking Spanish FFS.
Boris isn't right-wing lmao, he's a liberal
He's also what passes for 'Conservative' in Europe.
sadly, not much you can do about that though
except change what it actually means to be Conservative, obviously
they already have a union? They improve each other by being separate. More benefit from being separate.
I mean I don't want to do anything about it it's not my country. I'm just saying that this is why when politicians here say we should be "more European" I start thinking of tall trees and stout rope.
that's not the point, we'd improve each other more by being a united nation instead of separate. it's like saying that Victoria and NSW would've been better off if they hadn't federated, maybe in a economic sense but thats not even the point
the goal is a united ethnos, a united cultural and ethnic group, New Zealanders and Aussies are basically the same culturally and ethnically and should be united
Yeah kinda done. You can't tell the difference between states and countries. kinda pointless if i have to explain every detail. I don't get paid to teach you all about economics and global policies and business. Their are different cultures in both countries. Those culture's are effected by laws (laws affect the society, society effects culture) what you're advocating for is ethnic cleansing of nz's culture
That's just stupid, there's more benefit for the collective if we unite, and there wont be any "ethnic cleansing of nz's culture" because firstly you clearly dont even what ethnic cleansing is and secondly NZ is culturally extremely similar to Australia, there would be at worst small-scale cultural assimilation, which is fine.
Ethnic cleansing:
"The systematic elimination of an ethnic group or groups from a region or society, as by deportation, forced emigration, or genocide."
Who's getting ethnically cleansed here?
