nz is their own country recognized by the international stage. They also killed thousands of people when they tried to colonize their lands (way back). They have their own constitution which australia doesn't
the index is based on tax and freedom in market
So it's basically a meaningless index then if it doesn't account for non-economic policies

people often forget that in some states most Australians opposed Federation as late as the 1870s and 80s

the culture of Australia and New Zealand aren't really all too different, the culture of Melbourne and the culture of rural WA has more differences then Australia and NZ

TBH this is the bigger problem I have with the idea of a 'white nation'. When I look at the countries that have larger white majorities I see a lot of welfare spending and a lack of basic civil rights. But when I listen to their new 'right-wing' PM he was talking about socialized medicine and better enforcement of the laws keeping the populace unarmed. I thought it was the DNC debates.
