@Doomgazer I think it was something mentioned in the video
Bernie is a Leninist and all of his followers deserve to be jailed and worked to death in the coal mines
Interestingly enough, oil was only a somewhat small fraction of their economy, by comparison to many other oil dependent countries. "Exports accounted for 16.7% of GDP and petroleum products accounted for about 95% of those exports."- Further countries which are oil dependent such as Norway or Saudi Arabia haven't been hit as hard after the oil collapse, so we are left with Venezuela's economic policies, particularly their monetary policies and overspending leading to the problem. For a country with massive amounts of natural resources, it should have been a boon and not a detriment to their economy, even during bad times. In addition to this there is no global recession right now, and it is entirely specific to Venezuela, so it must be, Venezuela. On top of all of this even if 100% of Venezueals imports and exports had been cut off by sanctions, which they have not, they were not that dependent on foreign trade. It sadly was primarily an internal collapse, brought about by their own policies.
As well, Bernie Sanders does support actual socialism, but he tries to mask it or implement it progressively. He praised the soviet union back in the 70's, and has consistently praised tons of socialist countries, as well as various socialist policies. Various socialist countries in history have called themselves social democrats or democratic socialists, including the Bolsheviks that eventually took over Russia so, that isn't really a good indication of anything.
so looking through the collapse it did seem to mainly be mismanagement, however mismanagement of their oil money where they could have spent better I think is still a contributing factor when the price fell, conversely other countries just managed it better & generally could more readily export it. As for the bernie thing, im gonna look into it a bit more now since I actually know little about his history, i guess I could say im pretty close to a social democrat position so for me it does seem the best outcome compared to other candidates and in the US its unlike he would be able to introduce actual socialism even if he is for that.
I can't really find anything of him praising the soviet union itself, got any quotes or something?
The number of Indians left waiting for an American green card skyrocketed in 2019 - Quartz

This seems interesting to me
It appears the Trump administration approved more green cards than the Obama admin per year. What I’m wondering is, how did the “pending” category dramatically increase from one year to the next? Is it possible that “pending” could mean a better chance of being approved? I’m not very good at this stuff, which is basically why I’m posting it here.
Well the difference between Trump and Bernie is stark and obvious. After Charlottesville Trump denounced White Nationalism while Bernie has never once denounced socialism. He has never reversed his support for communist regimes and never admitted he was wrong for doing so.
"Right-wing citizens could come back [from visiting] with first-hand evidence of all the horrors in Cuba, etc., etc," Sanders wrote dismissively.
"For better or for worse, the Cuban revolution is a very profound and very deep revolution. Much deeper than I had understood," Sanders wrote. "More interesting than their providing their people with free health care, free education, free housing ... is that they are in fact creating a very different value system than the one we are familiar with."
"Also I was impressed by the youth programs that they have..."- LOL WHAT THE FUCK. Imagine coming back and saying you were impressed by the freaking Hitler Youth, just good lord man.
The soviet union massacred millions of innocent people, and he's sitting here praising their youth and "work" programs (I.E. the gulags, after all it is a guaranteed job, even for those unwilling to work), and their "public funding for the fine arts" (I.E. control over all media and having to have every song, every book approved by the soviet government), knowingly misrepresenting the horrors these people went through.
Bare in mind also he's calling for the U.S. to be more like this. It's eery really.
with all this bernie hate , it must be that bernie is the real deal, i.e. not controlled by the deep state
?
Unclear, the Soviets were better at humint than us and their fall didn't kill the ideology. Brennan had voted communist.
Everyone hates Biden, Hillary, and Elizabeth warren and they are clearly deepstate stooges xD So that's not really how it works. How hated someone is not really an idea of how correct or not their ideology is, or how likely they are to be a deepstater. In fact deepstate people are typically universally hated
lol... yes, clearly all this hate on Bernie must be he's not deep state. Not that his ideology has racked up a body count of 100 million and counting
I also love how they take from this, he must be good, even despite all the evidence of the crazy ideas he has xD The ability to see past facts and evidence is a terrifying ability
Bernie's conclusion to the establishment problem is if you cant beat them, join them
Only probelm is that they don't want him lol
We all know that Bernie's solution to an ineffective government is more government.
Because why not
We can't get out of the mess we're in by arguing with people and convincing them

@Jym, Reagan was at one point a Marxist. Some of the greatest advocates of Capitalism began as opponents to it, i.e. Milton Friedman was at one point in time a Keynesian, and Thomas Sowell was at what point a Marxist, himself. Nonetheless, it is quite alarming how good Russians are at the art of subversion. It's absolutely mind-blowing when you take a look at their current activities.
They're so good at it, they're able to micro-manage rallies they organize and counter-rallies to those rallies.
It's been happening for quite some time, here in the US.
They don't care about ideology anymore, to be precise, advocating for as many extremes as they possibly can at one given point in time, despite all perfectly contrary to one another, just as they do with managing the perception of world-events.
It keeps us confused, divided, and destabilized, unable to come to any consensus on our interests, because we're unable to even establish a consensus on reality and our values.
They implement similar measures within Russia, today.
What's their goal using "similar measures" within Russia?
To maintain control, of course.
You're familiar with the Primakov doctrine?
No
