Argh I wish I was in London :(

2020-01-31 18:13:47 UTC

Anyhow, something that might make you happy you've left now: the EU decided to pass a law that requires all smartphones manufacturers to use a uniform port.
One of the most stupid piece of laws I've ever seen.

2020-01-31 18:15:12 UTC

Another thing' it seems like the communists are part of the government in Spain, economic collapse imminent (or worse), luckily, you won't be there to suffer the fallout :)

2020-01-31 18:18:11 UTC

no idea how this'll taste

2020-01-31 18:18:33 UTC

sorta chucked a bunch of stuff in and see what happens

2020-01-31 18:20:44 UTC

EU has a plethora of stupid laws.
Honestly, I think they are right that if they want to function, they need to become closer aligned. Fewer decision makers theoretically would make for better thought out laws, because there is more time to work shit out when you don't have everyone sticking their oar in. I just don't believe so many distinct nations desrve to have everything streamlined like that, because it'll take away part of what they are to further the cause of the elites.

2020-01-31 18:22:27 UTC

@juryrigging well, it's either that or going back to the ETA.

2020-01-31 18:22:28 UTC

the phone port law was actually a good thing, have you even thought about that?

2020-01-31 18:22:44 UTC

@system11 it has already happened,

2020-01-31 18:22:44 UTC

"phone port law"

2020-01-31 18:22:49 UTC

q'est?

2020-01-31 18:23:09 UTC

The only one who isn't cooperating is apple

2020-01-31 18:23:18 UTC

someone finally decided to tell phone manufacturers to stop fucking around forcing deliberate incompatability on chargers

2020-01-31 18:23:36 UTC

it's anti consumer and environmentally garbage

2020-01-31 18:23:54 UTC

Someone go and make me a cup of tea

2020-01-31 18:23:55 UTC

that's one of the reason right-to-repair laws are failing to get in - manufacturers fucking around

2020-01-31 18:24:26 UTC

i'd also ban irreplaceable batteries

2020-01-31 18:24:35 UTC

in lots of things - game controllers, phones, etc

2020-01-31 18:24:36 UTC

well that's apple gone
