The problem that needs to be solved is consumer electronics and cars being built with built-in obselecence, and with poor quality parts, such that they require repair, and that corporations deliberately block third-party repair by denying access to schematics and diagnostics, and deliberately code up parts such that even if you get a genuine replacement part, it won't work
