you can do that if you'd like kind sir, but the argument wasn't with me in the first place

2020-02-24 19:02:46 UTC

so I didn't set the goal posts

2020-02-24 19:03:02 UTC

on a positive side, we've got examples in reality of different legalisation models

2020-02-24 19:03:11 UTC

most of the doommongers predictions simply didn't come to pass

2020-02-24 19:03:12 UTC

Personally I think that if they can make big juicy tomatos, then they can engineer a cannabis that doesn't stank.... when that happens it will be a huge step towards legalisation

2020-02-24 19:03:27 UTC

Ban alcohol and smoking.

2020-02-24 19:03:35 UTC

there already exist strains that don't smell as bad, spode

2020-02-24 19:03:49 UTC

and it's usually a sign of inadequate curing

2020-02-24 19:03:49 UTC

doesn't the smell come into the argument for why they banned smoking?

2020-02-24 19:04:05 UTC

Why do people not smoke them more? Do weed smokers enjoy the smell?

2020-02-24 19:04:17 UTC

Not only the smell, but passive smoking

2020-02-24 19:04:17 UTC

people should be allowed to partake in destructive behaviours if the ychoose

2020-02-24 19:04:31 UTC

no, spode, it's because it's illegal, so the strains that are sold are the strongest/highest yield, which also tends to be the smelliest

2020-02-24 19:04:32 UTC

not when it impacts my own peaceful enjoyment they shouldn't

2020-02-24 19:04:39 UTC

and because they want to get the product to market fast, they don't cure it well

2020-02-24 19:04:47 UTC

So it's skunk that is the pungent one?

2020-02-24 19:04:51 UTC

aye

2020-02-24 19:04:55 UTC

yes

2020-02-24 19:04:58 UTC

hence the name

2020-02-24 19:04:59 UTC

Right, that makes sense

2020-02-24 19:05:19 UTC

they also don't have many variaties in the market place because the demand is such that any weed will do

2020-02-24 19:05:41 UTC

so people grow the fastest and strongest they can

2020-02-24 19:05:42 UTC

smell, and passive smoking are covered by existing measure for cigarettes

2020-02-24 19:05:53 UTC

so these really aren't legalisation issues

2020-02-24 19:06:09 UTC

so the smell entering my property or ruining my enjoyment of my backyard will not be a problem?

2020-02-24 19:06:15 UTC

and public places will be policed?

2020-02-24 19:06:17 UTC

then i'm in

2020-02-24 19:06:26 UTC

it won't be any bigger problem than any other smell

2020-02-24 19:06:29 UTC

and yes

2020-02-24 19:06:33 UTC

it already is tho

2020-02-24 19:06:51 UTC

I can only speak for myself here, but undoubtedly there will be others in the same boat. I work in job that doesn't allow for drugs and I get tested regularly, but my only real opposition to legalisation is the stench. What I experienced in Toronto wasn't pleasant. If they can sort that out, then you're a lot closer to wider public support

2020-02-24 19:06:52 UTC

your problem is one of population density

2020-02-24 19:07:06 UTC

i told you minutes ago that I live in a villiage my dude

2020-02-24 19:07:19 UTC

yes, you need to live in isolation

2020-02-24 19:07:31 UTC

about 3 miles from the nearest person should do it

2020-02-24 19:07:46 UTC

this is why you have a problem with the roads

2020-02-24 19:07:50 UTC

you can make noise complaints so you should be able to make smell complaints

2020-02-24 19:07:57 UTC

fair

2020-02-24 19:08:04 UTC

i'm happy so long as it doesn't impact me

2020-02-24 19:08:09 UTC

otherwise i'm not

2020-02-24 19:08:12 UTC

and a noise complaint ain't going to fly if it's reasonable
