Any of you beauties have any good Priti Patel memes? There's a debate raging on a friends FB feed and I need to throw in a few grenades.
@Eccles How come you're not a fan? She's super hot and conservative... I got a semi from just typing that.
Well the hotness comes down to taste, so let's put that to the side. As for her lack of action, it's clear she's facing levels of civil service obstructionism not seen since Sir Humphry Appleby
If the civil service want to block you every step of the way then you're pretty much a glorified paper shuffler
Do we really want to legalise drugs? We have a big enough left wing movement in the UK as it is, if any more of them join the "Economically inactive" weed smoking community then we will be competing with the French for most idle nation.
I'm not sold
In Canada it stank everywhere in Toronto
But what about the stank
Alcohol doesn't offend my nostels
Perfume is like many other aromas, it is localised and dissipates after 1-2 metres..... Weed on the other hand, I can smell when my neighbour 4 houses down lights up
Society has deemed perfume to be socially acceptable and pleasant, weed is pungent, unpleasant and anti-social
@Eccles Agreed, but there are many who oppose its legalisation based on the stech
Have you ever smelt Durian @Eccles ?
They banned its consumption in Asia based entirely on the anti-social stench it creates
If you make the countryside smell like Pret then I will be on board...
They should make @Eccles the Pro-legalisation spokesman, he'll have the nation converted by Wednesday
Personally I think that if they can make big juicy tomatos, then they can engineer a cannabis that doesn't stank.... when that happens it will be a huge step towards legalisation
Why do people not smoke them more? Do weed smokers enjoy the smell?
So it's skunk that is the pungent one?
Right, that makes sense
I can only speak for myself here, but undoubtedly there will be others in the same boat. I work in job that doesn't allow for drugs and I get tested regularly, but my only real opposition to legalisation is the stench. What I experienced in Toronto wasn't pleasant. If they can sort that out, then you're a lot closer to wider public support
The defacto position is on my side though, you have to persuade the majority that legalisation of weed won't impact them... if you don't do that, you've got no chance.
