I've discussed this subject so many times, I'm just going to paste what I wrote last time.
They didn't have a system of property, as with all nomadic civilizations then and now, and yes, we did purchase our lands from the tribal authorities, which we continued to share with them for centuries, up until the military factions rejected the tribal authorities' deals, because they wanted to seize the land we developed. Thus, they began raiding our settlements, scalping men, women, and children, along with their own, just as some of your ancestors did to the British.
Many of the so-called "Natives" fought alongside us, just as the so-called Africans did alongside the British; even the Trail of Tears was orchestrated and led by a "Native" General. We have a right to self-defense against an initiator of force.
Your perspective of "con" comes from the false premise the land, attached to the capital assets we now have, was valued by them then, as much as it is now to us, by a few tribes totaling less than a million in population size, who'd not settled, developed and labored on, all of the land of reference.
Furthermore, the "Native Americans" migrated from Siberia, and they were not the first ones here. Instead, they traveled to this land, killed off the previous population and did not trade for the land; whereas, we did trade for the land.
Finally, because of their lacking system of property, accumulation of capital couldn't take place, and shortages were abound, as property rights, and thus markets, are an adaptation to scarcity. As a result, over 80% of their population died off, before early settlers came ashore, as they couldn't allocate scarce resources efficiently.
