But all the team did the same
I mean China is lying for weeks and nothing
I think they were caught unexpectedly and now trying to gain some time for the preparations.
Just a *silly* theory of mine
That's why the gag orders on the emergency responders earlier
that CO2 incident is not just normal stupid, that advanced stupid<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
One of my fav quote says: *"When the government tells you not to panic, it's the time actually to panic."*
"community spread"
uuh..... pretty sure you get enough communities, its the entire nation

very very high risk = not a pandemic
<:hypers:654439239055835158> pandemic time <:hypers:654439239055835158>

I'm trying to figure out how deadly/serious of an illness it actually is
And how close it is to spreading to my area
I work in Raleigh
```The receptor binding domain (RBD) in the spike protein of SARS-CoV and SARS-related coronaviruses is the most variable part of the virus genome. Six residues in the RBD appear to be critical for binding to the human ACE2 receptor and determining host range1. Using coordinates based on the Urbani strain of SARS-CoV, they are Y442, L472, N479, D480, T487, and Y4911. The corresponding residues in SARS-CoV-2 are L455, F486, Q493, S494, N501, and Y505. Five of these six residues are mutated in SARS-CoV-2 compared to its most closely related virus, RaTG13 sampled from a Rhinolophus affinis bat, to which it is ~96% identical2 (Figure 1a). Based on modeling1 and biochemical experiments3,4, SARS-CoV-2 seems to have an RBD that may bind with high affinity to ACE2 from human, non-human primate, ferret, pig, and cat, as well as other species with high receptor homology1. In contrast, SARS-CoV-2 may bind less efficiently to ACE2 in other species associated with SARS-like viruses, including rodents and civets1. ``` http://virological.org/t/the-proximal-origin-of-sars-cov-2/398 make my stoinks go up even more <:hypersmugon:544638648721604608> !
```I concur with this analysis at the amino acid level. I would add, however, that even if two virus isolates have an IDENTICAL amino acid sequence, that would not automatically make one the origin of the other. In my post 10 days ago, Tackling Rumors of a Suspicious Origin of nCoV2019 , I showed that mutations in the 3rd wobble base in an otherwise conserved region accumulate as to make seemingly identical viruses very much separated in time – indeed over decades.
It is time to leave playing “who’s ur daddy” to daytime television. No known viral RNA sequence is the daddy of SARS-CoV-2. No match. If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit. It is all bat guano. Whatever analogy you like. A thrust of distrust and recrimination is not the path to protecting the planet from a viral catastrophe.
Bill Gallaher``` http://virological.org/t/the-proximal-origin-of-sars-cov-2/398/2 Based Gallaher back at it again <:hypersmugon:544638648721604608>
translate that into normie for me
is he saying basically that its for sure man-made?
He's not
No, he is saying that they will never find the exact origin of the virus, and therefore should try to use their resources elsewhere.
What I got out of it is that they found some really close matches, but are unable to determine its origin definitely. And that finding the origin wont help with preventing a pandemic
No shit <:smugon:512048583806025739> is exactly what I wrote and they even admit to it that its proximal origin <:smugon:512048583806025739>
TL;DR Use your resources elsewhere.
I still personally believe that it was definitely designed in the bioweapons lab
But I can't prove it
Just seems like too much of a coincidence
I can at least disprove that somewhat by citing based Gallaher <:smugon:512048583806025739> mother nature lads let's goooo <:powerful:595334910764515338>

On either side of the new furin site, the amino acid sequence is identical in both from aa614 to aa1133 – an apparent insert of PRRA is the only difference in an otherwise 100% conserved 519 amino acid region.

But that is at first glance.
One has to consider that the PRRA is an unusual sequence to introduce to generate a furin site – others even among coronaviruses like MHV A59 are so much better. Also that the underlying code CCTCGGCGGGCA introduces an unnecessarily G and C rich region where none otherwise exists. Not likely scenarios for something a gene jockey would do.``` http://virological.org/t/tackling-rumors-of-a-suspicious-origin-of-ncov2019/384
