@Lewis @Steyr "Thick" Shotgun I too had hopes for outer worlds. Then I played it and realized that parts of it were very obviously unfinished or cut away to get that release done (before christmas, no doubt, that is an evergreen in game development). Some NPCs were a nice story bait, including several with quite deep dialogue trees that you still effectively couldn't do anything with/about. The first example was right in the starting town, the bar lady. You had to pass several checks just to get to know about her past and wanting to be a scientist and how corporate conformity crushed that. *But you can't talke her out of it or take her with you or shake her until she snaps out of it, it's all entirely pointless.* Also, the crosshair / aiming was placed by a blind armless child. And the best part was that it had the same weird slimy sheen as No Man's Sky did, complete with whatever frequency niggery that made my eyes physically tired, to the point that playing for 40 minutes felt like not sleeping in 20 hours.
