also why unless u dirt poor you'd use a 1050ti
I'd kill for a 1050
even my r9 380 outperforms a 1050ti
ive just never could be bothered to upgrade
DUDE IM SO MAD
fuck, maybe even a 900 series something
I bought 750Ti black back then (2014). Basically the best you could go before 760 and boy I didn't have money for a 760.
i sometimes use my monitor as a sepaker when im trying to do something around my room and watch videos
and it worked fine
the "number bigger = better" thing is pure bs tho
recently updated drivers from adrenalin 2018 to 2020 and now i cant use them as speakers
fuck me
dear god just kill me
It replaced the 550ti and for a change I didn't kill it <:comfort:592107824826417204>
Not that the videocard was the only instance my computer broke, but usually it was like... lightning strikes that blew out the PSU and mobo. Or that time I upgraded with a massive 160 GB drive, one gb ram and that 512 MB radeon and the tech who put it together for me (didn't know cumputers that much back then) was like "yea, we started it, it sort of sputtered and gave up". So I had to upgrade the PSU too
why is your psu so shit that it let your mobo blow out
psu should be 50$ minimum
Imagine how much poverty he could fix if he used his campaign funds he’ll inevitably waste<:thinkgon:560211224923734026>
price means shit. if price was a reliable indicator of quality, apple products would be the absolute best
It was a 2005 ish PSU for a 2003 computer, don't ask me. My parents were completely illiterate about computers and at the time so was I.
good brands, price is an indicator of quality
Guess the guy at the repair just saw what was there before, some price negotiation might have happened, who knows.
some good brands have shitty lower-end models
like MSI motherboards for example
Not really, its just how the market values the product vs the actual build quality
Supply and demand my dude
@Papa John's Day of Reckoning Not like that one they gave me after the final upgrade (grand total of three psus in that PC) was from a brand you'd trust. You ever heard about HEDY? <:smugon:512048583806025739>
then again calling MSI a "good" brand is a bit of a stretch IMO
Hey, my msi parts haven't blown up (yet)
MSI isn't utter garbage don't get me wrong. just... a bit too prone to low quality for comfort
can't remember model off the top of my head, but iirc there was this MSI gpu that had better cooling with the backplate *off*
MSI is just a good budget brand
@Papa John's Day of Reckoning Found the shell of the psu that I blew up. 350W. Which, honestly, might've been enough for a 60GB drive, 768MB ram (don't ask) and a 440mx
what about gigabyte?
i'd rather get a cheap gigabyte mobo than a cheap MSI mobo
o no
prepare for the butthurt
