Prolog is useful; I honestly don't know of any language that does Prolog better than Prolog. It's just the set of problems that Prolog is intended to solve is... very restricted.

Special-purpose language.

You can always use a general-purpose language, write your own backtracking brute-force search algorithm by hand; but it's harder to ensure, specially after you try to make some optimizations to the search, that you're still solving the original problem, without bugs.

I'm going based solely off of how friendly it looks here.

Problem named "pizza", those are the variables, now those are the valid values (aka domain) for the variables; and now those are the equations that need to be satisfied.

The only hassle is having to remember, it's a computer program, it doesn't like ambiguous language like we humans do.
