anybody who doesn't have a 3rd party expansion pack gender shouldn't be using a mac
i dont use any apple products for my work though, fuck xcode
85% of the time my mac is just a glorified SSH machine
omfg yes fuck xcode. Want to use an outdated compiler that can't compile the latest code? Want a completely fucked version of make that isn't compatible with cmake/automake? Well just download 27GB of xcode garbage and fight with settings for the next 2 hours to get anything accessible outside of the GUI and you're set!
brew install llvm/clang/gcc pick your poison and use that
even ssh on the mac is horrible because you need to get a 3rd party terminal and mess with settings
or do you need to create a signed app or something
can't use brew if you're porting
you literally have to have a machine *without* brew to make proper native apps
yeah, signed apps and apps that install on standard systems (without brew)
im typically writing systems/research code as opposed to commercial products/apps so i never have these problems 😆

I have to do this kind of thing on the mac maybe once or twice a year max, so really I'm only using it for like 3 or 4 days out of the year total
there must be some way to package an app and sign it without using xcode directly

I want something like this
no I want a keyboard I can use with my phone
which has USB-C but for someo reason doesn't support PD passthrough, so even though I have a USB hub with PD power pass-through I can't use it
basically I end up being out wiht the kids and stuff a lot and either don't have my notebook with me or it runs out of power
a lot of my work can be done through an ssh connection or is writing docs or mail, so something like this would be great for this coming summer break
cant find the right keyboard ... such a first world problem haha
