that is inefficient

2018-07-10 20:44:54 UTC

Why not? He wants $3/hr, and I would like an apprentice to learn a bit of my trade before I hire him full time

2018-07-10 20:45:01 UTC

If the company only values a janitor at $3 an hour, that is the value as far as they are concerned

2018-07-10 20:45:24 UTC

If the janitor believes his value is more, he can goe elsewhere and they can get a robot instead

2018-07-10 20:45:39 UTC

Or someone who agrees with the value judgement

2018-07-10 20:46:25 UTC

No one else can decide what value work is worth except the employer and employee

2018-07-10 20:47:38 UTC

If that becomes a problem then

2018-07-10 20:47:47 UTC

Step 1: make unions legal

2018-07-10 20:47:54 UTC

Step 2: unionize

2018-07-10 20:48:04 UTC

Skip step 1 of it is redundant

2018-07-10 20:48:58 UTC

well the problem is that ultimately, most low skilled labour ends up with an excess supply of potential employees which, with no minimum wage, ends up with earnings so low that people end up slaves to their employers in order to scrape through survival

2018-07-10 20:49:15 UTC

Which is why unions were invented

2018-07-10 20:49:24 UTC

unions are a danger in themselves

2018-07-10 20:49:33 UTC

When allowed unlimited power

2018-07-10 20:49:36 UTC

I do not approve of unions at all

2018-07-10 20:49:39 UTC

Right to work fixes that

2018-07-10 20:50:12 UTC

If you have a choice on whether or not to join a union, the union must give you incentive to join and cannot exploit you

2018-07-10 20:50:39 UTC

The problem is that unions have become permanent fixtures. That is wrong.

2018-07-10 20:50:39 UTC

unions are basically unnecessary bureaucracy, the law should be solid on worker rights and treatment, unions should not be necessary ever

2018-07-10 20:50:59 UTC

Once again, then you just create unemployment

2018-07-10 20:51:16 UTC

doubtful

2018-07-10 20:51:33 UTC

We literally just went through that

2018-07-10 20:51:39 UTC

But this is not car related

2018-07-11 01:08:24 UTC

oops wrong.share

Yeah, I already know your home adress by the position of those trees

2018-07-11 18:29:39 UTC

2018-07-11 18:30:11 UTC

Rumors are going around saying the Aventador SJV got a Nurburgring lap time of 6:45, becoming the quickest road-legal production car around the Ring by two seconds. God, I hope it’s true. I’m pretty pumped for the SVJ, even though I still think I’ll love the original Aventador coupè far more because of the nostalgia factor, price, and looks.
