I honestly wouldn't think a trike would do well on that either though

2018-07-19 22:33:21 UTC

holy shit

2018-07-19 22:34:00 UTC

I've been down a road like that in multiple normal fwd cars, tire placement ends up being the most important thing.

2018-07-19 22:34:19 UTC

it's 11 inches over on width but it would be ideal, and cheap

2018-07-19 22:38:08 UTC

Lol we ain't got Ladas

2018-07-19 22:38:38 UTC

closest appx is the Wrangler, CJ and YJ

2018-07-19 22:39:04 UTC

And the Samurai/Jimny

2018-07-19 22:40:17 UTC

If you're in the US you could bring anything in over 25yrs right?

2018-07-19 22:40:34 UTC

Yeah, but import fees, and then parts, etc

2018-07-19 22:41:14 UTC

A working lada niva is probably gonna cost like 3-4k USD with import fees

2018-07-19 22:41:18 UTC

they are not expensive cars

2018-07-19 22:41:34 UTC

A running Samurai is like 1500

2018-07-19 22:42:00 UTC

significantly larger than the niva though

2018-07-19 22:42:08 UTC

is it?

2018-07-19 22:42:17 UTC

the niva is a tiny hatchback basically

2018-07-19 22:42:24 UTC

but with awd

2018-07-19 22:42:30 UTC

it's a weird little thing

2018-07-19 22:42:31 UTC

I think they're the same size

2018-07-19 22:43:41 UTC

Oh I didn't know how slim the samurai was

2018-07-19 22:43:42 UTC

damn

2018-07-19 22:44:22 UTC

the samurai is probably the best option then really

2018-07-20 00:28:43 UTC

Just get a Mirage with a lift kit

2018-07-20 01:08:49 UTC

that isn't real

2018-07-20 01:08:53 UTC

it's a mirage

2018-07-20 02:48:10 UTC

Me: no crazy mods for this car. Its an econobox. Its meant to be efficient, and its never gonna be a sports car.

2018-07-20 02:48:13 UTC

Also me: ...and then after the turbo upgrade I'll get a new cam!

2018-07-20 11:13:43 UTC

I wouldn't pour money into a cruze, you'll hit power plateau very quickly and you'd be better off spending the money on a second project car with a less limiting engine in terms of tuning

2018-07-20 12:58:34 UTC

@LOGiK intellectually i know that. But its hard to resist lol.

2018-07-20 12:59:28 UTC

I probably won't do turbo or cam upgrades. But with upgraded intercooler lines, upgraded transmission, and a tune i can easily get the car to 250hp.

2018-07-20 13:16:06 UTC

upgrading your transmission seems like you're suggesting some expensive work

2018-07-20 13:29:35 UTC

By the time i do that, i would at least be close to a clutch replacement anyway

2018-07-20 13:38:56 UTC

also I think you're overestimating the power of the 1.4t, I might be mistaken but even going full stage 2 on that engine is probably only going to see 190 so you'd need to be stage 3+ which is gonna cost a lot of money and I mean a lot of money

2018-07-20 13:39:43 UTC

and it'll probably need a bigger turbo for over 200, which will probably mean bigger injectors and fuel pump to supply it and get rid of lag

2018-07-20 13:42:59 UTC

but I really don't know what you'd be upgrading your transmission to, I don't know what you've already got but for the most part replacing transmissions is an expensive exercise in any car

2018-07-20 13:44:08 UTC

even if you have a reliable cheap mechanic and a car that lends itself to transmission swaps, it's still usually a $250-500 job when it's easy work, if it's complex or difficult in any way labour ends up in the 000s

2018-07-20 13:53:07 UTC

"Last I recall, OnlyTaurus was one of the highest I've seen on the site. He's since parted ways with the Cruze =[think he was pushing 210HP/270TQ"

2018-07-20 13:53:18 UTC

Reminder the fastest Cruze made 210

2018-07-20 13:53:25 UTC

Just drive it into the ocean
