That's not off-road, that's gravel.
the problem with the mini off road was the sump was somewhat vulnerable
also the beetle is too wide for your criteria anyway
I wasn't saying it was. I'm just comparing a similar vehicle class with a different engine arrangement
A mini couldn't do that methinks
not without being lifted and would ideally want wider wheels pushing it over the 55in
the clearance is the main issue though, like I said the sump is pretty vulnerable
I honestly wouldn't think a trike would do well on that either though
holy shit
I've been down a road like that in multiple normal fwd cars, tire placement ends up being the most important thing.
it's 11 inches over on width but it would be ideal, and cheap
Lol we ain't got Ladas
closest appx is the Wrangler, CJ and YJ
And the Samurai/Jimny
If you're in the US you could bring anything in over 25yrs right?
Yeah, but import fees, and then parts, etc
A working lada niva is probably gonna cost like 3-4k USD with import fees
A running Samurai is like 1500
significantly larger than the niva though
is it?
the niva is a tiny hatchback basically
but with awd
it's a weird little thing
I think they're the same size
Oh I didn't know how slim the samurai was
damn
the samurai is probably the best option then really
Just get a Mirage with a lift kit
that isn't real
it's a mirage
Me: no crazy mods for this car. Its an econobox. Its meant to be efficient, and its never gonna be a sports car.
Also me: ...and then after the turbo upgrade I'll get a new cam!
I wouldn't pour money into a cruze, you'll hit power plateau very quickly and you'd be better off spending the money on a second project car with a less limiting engine in terms of tuning
@LOGiK intellectually i know that. But its hard to resist lol.
I probably won't do turbo or cam upgrades. But with upgraded intercooler lines, upgraded transmission, and a tune i can easily get the car to 250hp.
upgrading your transmission seems like you're suggesting some expensive work
