Ex: US spec BWM 340i automatics get about 3 mpg better than the manual.

2018-07-24 16:58:12 UTC

But that's a $40k+ car. There is a lot less room to make a better auto when your car is half that price like a Cruze.

2018-07-24 16:58:25 UTC

Plus there is market differences.

2018-07-24 16:58:45 UTC

People who buy manual cruzes buy it fir the fuel economy and fun factor.

2018-07-24 16:59:26 UTC

People who buy the autos just want a basic, convenient car that gets at least okay gas mileage, but dont care if its the most efficient thing on the planet

2018-07-24 17:09:28 UTC

I'm not sure if people buying brand new cruzes have fun in their mind at all

2018-07-24 17:10:56 UTC

people who tend to consider fun on car purchases are usually either younger or wealthier, rarely both, the latter case lets a buyer look at more expensive options, the former usually results in second hand purchases

2018-07-24 17:21:30 UTC

Maybe its sample bias, but the people i talk to who buy manual cruzes do it because its cheap, has a manual, gets 40mpg, and has a turbo.

2018-07-24 17:21:39 UTC

At least the ones my age.

2018-07-24 17:22:07 UTC

On the other hand, like i said, they dont sell many manual cruzes

2018-07-24 17:22:20 UTC

Or...really manual econoboxes in general.

2018-07-24 17:30:35 UTC

I'm a fan of my Nissan Leaf

2018-07-24 17:35:54 UTC

Instant torque

2018-07-24 17:38:33 UTC

Really though it's got really high torque

2018-07-24 17:38:41 UTC

I usually keep it in eco mode though

2018-07-24 17:39:51 UTC

Very funny meme

2018-07-24 17:41:19 UTC

That's not a meme...

2018-07-24 17:43:10 UTC

I like the leaf

2018-07-24 17:43:23 UTC

Its probably the best election car around

2018-07-24 17:43:26 UTC

Electric

2018-07-24 17:43:31 UTC

Also election

2018-07-24 17:44:17 UTC

Well I would vote for anyone who drove a Leaf in an election.

2018-07-24 17:47:45 UTC

The leaf seems alright from what i hear.

2018-07-24 17:48:35 UTC

Though cost wise i dont think i could justify it. Manual econobox beats it on cost any day.

2018-07-24 17:49:02 UTC

What are you talking about I don't even pay for gas I got mine used for 9k it's the cheapest car I've ever had I love it

2018-07-24 17:49:16 UTC

What year?

2018-07-24 17:49:27 UTC

How many miles?

2018-07-24 17:49:32 UTC

What condition?

2018-07-24 17:50:57 UTC

Mine was 2014 for $9k, with 70k miles, excellent condition. 500+ mile highway range, gets 55mpg hwy (after adding a short ram intake).

2018-07-24 17:51:22 UTC

Leafs in my area cost $3-4k more to get the same.

2018-07-24 17:51:57 UTC

And they would be literally unworkable for me since i drive up to 120 miles in a single day sometimes

2018-07-24 17:52:11 UTC

2014 2k miles great condition

2018-07-24 17:52:25 UTC

Wtf 120 miles to work I work down the street you need a better job

2018-07-24 17:52:54 UTC

Where did the word "work" appear in that sentence?

2018-07-24 17:53:15 UTC

In the word unworkable

2018-07-24 17:53:21 UTC

Spamming emotes huh. Someone is sperging

2018-07-24 17:55:52 UTC

Well maybe you'd spend less money if you didn't drive so much lol

2018-07-24 17:56:58 UTC

I could do that

2018-07-24 17:57:07 UTC

If i went to a worse college

2018-07-24 17:57:21 UTC

Or spent a few thousand dollars on another housing setup
