Can't be too hard

2018-04-01 20:17:28 UTC

yeah I just wonder if it'd be legal

2018-04-01 20:17:35 UTC

it's obviously possible

2018-04-01 20:18:15 UTC

Or just go back to WWI shit and convert bolt actions to selfloaders

2018-04-01 20:19:01 UTC

You could also possibly use a feature that if the trigger has already been pressed, if it's pressed again as soon as possible (mainting pressure) then the weight of the trigger is much less, making the trigger still safe getting started but easier to fire multiple shots

2018-04-01 20:19:44 UTC

So a two stage trigger?

2018-04-01 20:19:57 UTC

if that's what you'd call it, sure

2018-04-01 20:20:30 UTC

It's all entirely doable, but it's not been done because regular automatics are simpler and nobody wants to get the ATF on them

2018-04-01 20:21:29 UTC

isn't that what caused waco

2018-04-01 20:22:15 UTC

IIRC the ATF went after them because they were making some device like that which made semi automatics fire like automatics

2018-04-01 21:13:14 UTC

I think they tried to claim that

2018-04-01 21:14:18 UTC

just got back from the range

2018-04-01 21:14:35 UTC

there was a guy with a bullpup 6.5cm deserttech

2018-04-01 21:14:51 UTC

next to me shooting .5" groups using little circle note stickers

2018-04-01 21:14:55 UTC

I was amazed.

2018-04-01 21:15:31 UTC

I was shooting 338 lap but I have been unable to bring my groups under .7" without a bench rest

2018-04-01 21:17:23 UTC

my fucking scope rings got loose when I was shooting

2018-04-01 21:17:40 UTC

causing my groups to drop 3" down suddenly

2018-04-01 21:17:40 UTC

lol

2018-04-01 21:17:43 UTC

not good

2018-04-01 21:18:13 UTC

>bullpup

**BEGONE**

2018-04-01 21:18:58 UTC

I dunno why he would choose that; but from a bolt action perspective it's kinda sensible

2018-04-01 21:19:21 UTC

in a use case where he actually needed a super precise shot; it's not like he's likely to do significant followups

2018-04-01 21:19:43 UTC

so cycling the action is not super duper important

2018-04-01 21:21:01 UTC

he was a really good shooter though

2018-04-01 21:21:16 UTC

like; he was hitting the center of those fucking little stickers without any problem

2018-04-01 21:21:45 UTC

I ran out of ladder tests, zoomed in on his target and watched him shoot

2018-04-01 21:21:53 UTC

I want to get to his skill level

2018-04-01 21:22:01 UTC

but I do not want to be as obese as he was

2018-04-01 21:22:05 UTC

giant beer belly

2018-04-01 21:24:34 UTC

sad thing is; with my SPR (18", SS, Heavy profile ML Gas) AR, I can shoot better followups than with my fucking super expensive 338 lap

2018-04-01 21:25:07 UTC

First shot I'm generally dead on; everything after that is usually offset because I keep fucking flinching like a pussy

2018-04-01 21:25:09 UTC

I take it that you have an armory?

2018-04-01 21:25:14 UTC

not really

2018-04-01 21:25:21 UTC

aw

2018-04-01 21:26:42 UTC

I have 4 distinct rifles (AR w/ .458 socom 16", AR w/ 223 wylde 18", Savage FVSR 22lr, and my sako TRG-42 in 338 lap)

2018-04-01 21:27:02 UTC

and one pistol

2018-04-01 21:27:41 UTC

The .458 was just a workaround; I didn't want to need to ditch my standard cap kits so I re-labeled them all to 458

2018-04-01 21:27:57 UTC

Also; I did want to buy a 45/70, and this is just as good

2018-04-01 21:28:42 UTC

I don't really have anything milsurp, although I might get ahold of a M1A in 308 so I can go 2 gun

2018-04-01 21:29:56 UTC

I didn't want to go and get some rifle that would get me halfway to 2000Y
