"Invisible", except if you have night goggles.

Never mind if the window you want to shoot through blocks IR.

@Achlys @Baraban The IMI Galil is a milled AK-47 variant chambered in 5.56. Milled guns are very heavy compared to thin stamped guns. The high weight of the gun along with soft-shooting 5.56 made it have a negligent amount of recoil and it was very successfully used as a Squad Automatic Weapon. The reason that the IDF moved away from the Galil was simply because it was outdated. It was too heavy for standard infantry to carry for long durations of time, it didn't have picatinny rails to mount optics and accessories with ease, it used proprietary Galil magazines rather than standard NATO M16 magazines. It is a very beautiful and reliable weapon, but outdated for contemporary military use.

They moved to the m16... which is older

2018-07-04 06:14:56 UTC

And the Galil was in service for like 5 years

2018-07-04 06:17:47 UTC

the original M16 did not have picatinny rails. New M16s are considered one of the most modular infantry rifles in the world, you can customize one to pretty much do whatever your mission needs it to do, no matter what that mission is.

2018-07-04 06:29:45 UTC

That's M4

2018-07-04 06:29:50 UTC

Not M16

2018-07-04 06:30:37 UTC

M4's are pretty great, though I'd probably prefer a Tavor

2018-07-04 06:31:05 UTC

And I never heard anyone says M4 is better than a Tavor

2018-07-04 06:31:45 UTC

I never got to try a Tavor though

2018-07-04 06:33:16 UTC

Bullpups are rear-heavy and slower to reload

2018-07-04 06:33:37 UTC

Sure but they are also smaller

2018-07-04 06:33:42 UTC

an M4 is more practical for everything I think

2018-07-04 06:33:49 UTC

Never heard anyone complains about them

2018-07-04 06:34:22 UTC

I never heard of anyone in the IDF who prefers an M4

2018-07-04 06:34:39 UTC

that's really interesting

2018-07-04 06:35:47 UTC

I'm pretty sure a lot of it is kind of like a dick measuring thing

2018-07-04 06:36:32 UTC

People prefer to have a Tavor for the same reason you might prefer a more expensive suit

2018-07-04 06:37:07 UTC

It's something to brag about

2018-07-04 06:37:16 UTC

whatever fits in your hand and whatever gets the job done

2018-07-04 06:37:20 UTC

it doesnt matter

2018-07-04 06:38:01 UTC

Well the Tavor is also smaller...

2018-07-04 06:38:49 UTC

It's not fun walking around with a big rifle

2018-07-04 06:39:33 UTC

Also try walking around with your Galil inside your house while aiming it, the size is going to make it a bit harder

2018-07-04 06:40:09 UTC

Unless your rooms are really big. But even than it's prefrable to have something smaller in corners

2018-07-04 06:40:44 UTC

the Tavor is actually heavier than a standard M4, and most of that weight is in the rear making it unbalanced

2018-07-04 06:40:57 UTC

Yeah I know it's heavier

2018-07-04 06:41:01 UTC

But it's smaller

2018-07-04 06:41:35 UTC

Don't know about the balance never used it

2018-07-04 06:42:19 UTC

an M4 is definitely not a big gun though either

2018-07-04 06:42:34 UTC

it's not like a long sniper or a GPMG

2018-07-04 06:42:58 UTC

It's not small

2018-07-04 06:43:13 UTC

the Tavor is just really short

2018-07-04 06:45:03 UTC

im gonna stop talking. im tired and need to go to bed

2018-07-04 06:45:13 UTC

Good night

2018-07-04 08:06:57 UTC

@Baraban Tell IMI to stop sending us shitty Tavors then. They're some of the worst bullpups around here.

2018-07-04 08:07:19 UTC

Lol ok I'll talk with them

2018-07-04 08:08:21 UTC

Though from what I've seen most people on the internet seem to love them. Except a bunch of people saying they have a bad trigger

2018-07-04 11:00:29 UTC

Guys, we Imperial Guard now
