Don't own guns sadly(poor ass boi this side) but if your into a "rifle on the outside but shotgun on the inside thing" you do you
Found this stuff about it https://loadoutroom.com/thearmsguide/american-tactical-ar-15-shotgun-shot-show/
looks pretty kewwwl
Bring back 8 gauge
Or just generally popularize 10 gauge again
there's a shotgun that's 8 guage?
There's shotguns that are less than 1 gauge.
Bigger than
can someone explain to mean what "gauges" mean in shothuns?
Whatver, punt guns
why is 20 smaller than 12?
How many balls of lead you can make the diameter of the barrel from a pound of lead.
It's the same measurement as 'bore' for rifles.
So if you take a pound of lead, you can make 20 perfect spheres of 20 gauge diameter, but only 12 spheres for 12 gauge diameter, 8 for 8 gauge, and so on.
that makes now thanks alot @Somi
It's a bit counter intuitive until you've been explained how it works.
's back from the time of muzzle loading and casting your own bullets and such.
I highly recommend a series on YT called 'Shotguns 101'
By Synchronizor.
If it was just the bore diamater, it would have made way more sense
That's only the case with the smallest shotgun shell, .410.
Which is, as you might imagine, .410 in diameter.
how many gauges is that?
67 gauge.
jesus
The thing about shotgun shells is that not just the gauge but also the shell length matters
Loading a 3" shell into a gun that only supports a 2 3/4" shell is begging for long term, or even short term, problems.
(Vice versa is just fine)
@Somi did you stop being a patron?
No?
In fact, I upgraded from a custom 2.5 to 5 dollars a month to access the first tier of Sargon's patreon rooms on Athens.
I'd donate, but I have a few people I'm not donating to that I kinda wanna prioritise before donating to sargon.
I'll admit while I knew somewhat, how the guage system worked I did learn something today
but then it took me ages to learn what "calibers" meant when referring to gun lenght
