I play with mobs on internal friend group servers.

I think I've removed about 10 or so layers of dirt and stone

so I can build this castle around it.

If anything I'd get some mods that add more medieval elements, but I usually prefer to play in vanilla just so I can always have it be compatible and don't have to worry about mods being abandon.

I always make big plans and never finish them, maybe I’ll actually finish the village this time.

I did finish my spawn base, a castle built to look like a tree, and another random house on a hill

I wish I still had my first world, that's long gone now though.

@meratrix I tend to build a small house, then build a couple house towers around the house and then connect the towers with walls

I went around making little outposts and was in the process of linking them all up.
