I still don't get it.
It is an individualist flag replaceced with collectivist meaning
I really don't get hung up on this whole "individualism vs collectivism" thing like you do.
I don't think you can dichotomize issues like that.
If your parrents lived under a opressive collectivist regime you would get it
Oh
Also you can dichotomize a lot of things
Democratic - Authoritarian
Political Left - Political Right
Open Society - Closed Society
Free Market - Central Planning
Standing Army - Drafted Army
Hawk Lobby - Dove Lobby
Interventionism - Isolationism
Okay, I just don't see individualism and collectivism as mutually exclusive. I think that there's certain parts of every system that benefit an individual and a collective in most systems of society.
Furthermore, I think that the community is the most important part of any group, because the individual cannot provide for itself without a society to depend on, the society can't survive without the state, but the state itself, like the individual, cannot suffice to provide for the common good, because the state must depend on the needs of the community if it's not to be corrupt.
Society is neither the individual, or the state, but the community of individuals of which depend on the state to survive.
This chat room is funny, because a lot of people deny that cultures exist, but it's so undeniable. Every different society has it's own individual customs and ways of operating, which develop from ways of life. This whole idea of individualism over collectivism seems so silly to me, it seems Ayn Randish. Human beings function biologically in groups, that's how human beings developed in evolution. You can't be an individualist and live as a modern man.
Basically you need both individualism and collectivism for society to function.
beeing in a group /=/ collectivism
Okay, then what does collectivism mean?
Does it means being for a commonly held belief rather than individual thought?
No it means prioritization of the group over self.
What philosophy are you citing?
What was told me in grammar school
Why do you apply the concept of collectivism to politics?
"If your parrents lived under a opressive collectivist regime you would get it"
I hear the word collectivism used a lot more than in just that way.
Ah yes. If you badmouthed the regime you would get reprimandet
The work enviroment was full with snitches
Soy boys don’t get it
They don’t know real oppression
And the secret police could rumage thŕough your personal bellognings
I honestly feel endearment towards the word soy boy.
Oh and btw, trans people are the most oppressed group of people in America. Kids get kicked out of their parents houses for being trans all the time.
A large percentage of homeless youth are lgbt.
There's a large stigma of transphobia and homophobia, which are often falsely equated across america.
A lot of people can't come out to their parents because their parents are bigoted.
Ok you are now conflating two things
No, I said that the two are falsely equated, and people equate being trans with being gay.
Read closer.
I meant the form of opression
That is oppression.
This is not on a universal scale
