Plastics require crude oil to be produced, and most of the plastics that are made are for single uses only, creating a huge waste problems. Take into consideration that plastics take thousands of years to disintegrate, and when they do so they leak out toxic chemical agents hazardous to the environment. Furthermore a lot of the plastic waste ends up in the ocean, meaning that it ends up in the stomach of some unfortunate animal

2018-11-07 20:40:15 UTC

Plastics are a huge damage to the environment, and the less we produce and consume, the better

2018-11-07 20:41:15 UTC

The best step to take, is to end with single use plastic products, ie bags, cups and other table ware, plastic packaging and wrapping etc...

2018-11-07 20:42:53 UTC

Make people reuse plastics to reduce waste, or simply substitute plastics out of the daily lives, by using cloth bags for shopping which you can use infinitely, using recycled paper straws, recycling plastics by melting them down for other uses

2018-11-07 20:47:22 UTC

Tbf there is no such thing as "single use plastics" just "plastivs the recycle companies dont want"

2018-11-07 20:48:00 UTC

But all of them can technically be melted down and reused. The companies just wont.

2018-11-07 20:56:33 UTC

@Goblin_Slayer_Floki not profitable to?

2018-11-07 21:07:58 UTC

There are single use plastics
