yeah, my old boss is friends with a local club, i can't remember if he was actually a member, but we did some work on their club house
it was pretty cool though, they had a nice bar and shit
it was in a really crappy part of town though, and they had to have a guy live there and watch the door constantly

I remember my city had a hells angles clubhouse. Signed and everything. despite the run down appearance of the neighbourhood, they made sure it was safe. The cops cleared them out a few years back though and the crime returned... I think it was the mob who did that.

If you lock the tablet down so you can only do like two things (i.e. make phone calls), then I can see how it can limit the influx of contraband by having a standardized, controlled object.
Also, it gets around the problem of inhumanely expensive land line phones that are offered to the prisoners.
The tablets will probably be locked away except during Skype hours.
@AlanPowell I'm not too familiar with the story, but it could be a low security prison with an emphasis on rehabilitation
