It's like a racist version of the cry from 300
What got me about Black Panther was how this civilisation has had flying ships, energy weapons and cloaking technology for centuries and they just sat back watching the rest of their "brothers and sisters" from other tribes getting taken aboard slave ships by Europeans who were technological cavemen compared to them. They could have wiped them out without even trying or being seen, and made the whole continent a superpower. Yeah, you're allowed some "creative license" with superhero movie plausibility, but that plot hole hard to ignore.
@co0p3r I can see what you mean but remember that the Wakandans has a pretty clear cut isolationist policy.
Like it’s arguable that the policy is retarded because no advanced, democratic African nation could ever be completely self-sufficient so at least some form of trade would be necessary.
Like
For example
Indeed @Coltwind, but remember that with that movie they just shove a big was of vibranium into every plot hole
The natural progression of architecture in literally every society has been mud/grass, whatever comes next, wood stone of some sort, wood and other stuff, what we use now.
Like every society that got that far has followed this format, even Africa to some extent.
And it makes no sense to build everything out of a super unstable and reactive metal.
So
You could argue that it’s dumb
And that trade would have to have happened
But like
I feel like when you go that deep into it it’s s bit nitpicky
However, I do agree that the writing was a little lazy wen it came to plot holes.
When you’re given creative license, the whole point is to be...creative...and I don’t really feel like the writers were when they just slapped vibranium into the script as an explanation for literally everything.
Like it’s lazy to just dismiss every plot hole with “eh, vibranium.”
It doesn’t have to be perfect or super detailed, but there can be other ways for a plot hole to be filled.
Yeah, they just shove vibranium on every plot hole
And then, when it's needed, they shut down vibranium too, using vibranium
because vibranium
^
Xmen are from the same universe, right? It's just a legal thing that they're not in the movies as they are currently?
Yep
Ok, so here's an idea: Vibranium vs Adamantium. discuss
Hmm
Something like when Thor's hammer hit caps shield
Dunno. Both metals are magical stuff that fell from the sky
and how does Tony Stark feel about existing in a world where and African tribe has tech that makes his latest stuff look like stiff from the Bronze Age, and how much sleep does he lose at night thinking about what would happen if the Wakandans build their own Iron Man suit?
@co0p3r from what I know hes trying to make a synthetic material similar to vibranium in the cinematic universe.
so he's trying to fix the gap kek
He's already got `nanomachines, son` in recent movies, which honestly, look like another Deus Ex
