2018-07-18 15:50:07 UTC

Our polls have increased massively. Opinum has put us at 8% with a +5 increase since last month's report & other polls have put us either 7 or 8%

2018-07-18 15:50:29 UTC

We're projected to match our best voting intention polls too

2018-07-18 15:52:59 UTC

I mean, he has a fucking point

2018-07-18 15:59:28 UTC

what?

2018-07-18 15:59:32 UTC

we helped *them*

2018-07-18 16:00:04 UTC

On the flipside, the USSR was sending huge quantities of minerals and foodstuffs to Germany right up to June 1941

2018-07-18 16:01:13 UTC

There were trains still crossing the border heading Westwards on the night of the 22nd

2018-07-18 16:18:31 UTC

Well becausr until that point russia and germany were allies ish.

But Russia wouldnt have been able to do half of what they did without US Supplies. And tbh because Stalin couldnt believe Hitler betrayed him and took months for him to counterattack, they became active in the war only a month prior than the US.

2018-07-18 16:28:33 UTC

Well yeah, I was also going to mention the lend-lease, considering that was help the US and the UK provided *to* Russia and not the other way around

2018-07-18 16:29:10 UTC

Stalin also knew war was coming; he just didn't want it to come in '41 - especially when he didn't expect Germany to romp over France like they did

2018-07-18 16:40:29 UTC

Stalin liked Hitler. They had a lot in common. And Stalin also hoped hitler would keep to the treaty he signed. Since its the only such he signed.

2018-07-18 16:41:16 UTC

When he invaded. It was reported Stalin called his intel peopls liars and that it could never be true.

2018-07-18 16:43:40 UTC

So what you're saying is Stalin and Hitler were basically Zoidberg and Hermes.

2018-07-18 16:44:29 UTC

I dont know futurama enough to agree or disagree with that reference.

2018-07-18 17:48:25 UTC

The answer is yes.

John Cleese - In Conversation with Graham Johnson & John Ford - man the media in UK is in a bad state, some of you may have come across this already :S

2018-07-19 02:02:15 UTC

and this Melanie Phillips: How the media manipulates truth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te01MtCJP0w

@tea-o The sound on the John Cleese video is pretty terrible, but it's very insightful

2018-07-19 02:21:25 UTC

this one is a bit random but this channel has a lot of info regarding the eastern block of Europe and practical politics etc. Is from a conservative angle but shares a lot of common goals i.e. free speech. Might not be for all, but some interesting info eastern block , and political ideologies worth a look if interested - Protests as a means of demoralization (practical politics) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNeHqrZAMLY and also What is Duginism and why it matters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdkfEKOVaFc , Religion in Albania https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1vHu6cJCF4

2018-07-19 06:21:36 UTC

Stalin didn't trust Hitler, let alone like him; German and Soviet forces were shooting at each other during the Polish invasion

Stalin simply wanted to stir the pot between the capitalist countries under the assumption that the ensuing war would bring about radical socialist uprisings, as it had done to Russia post-WWI. He just didn't count on Germany BTFOing countries like France so early into things

2018-07-19 16:26:55 UTC

He also never expected germany to break the pact. He took the Germans at their word as he was willing to keep his.

The state of the Democratic Party <:pepe_why:378719408367075333>

2018-07-19 20:01:00 UTC

Question is: Will it be obvious to the layman that they're using patriotism as a rhetorical tactic to advance their agenda?

2018-07-19 20:03:59 UTC

There was actually a poll done that shows millennials are starting to vote for the Republican Party, same goes for minorities. And I wouldn’t call what they’re doing patriotism.

2018-07-19 20:05:16 UTC

Yeah, YOU wouldn't, but some idiot out there might think "oh, see? They love America. They're trying to save us from the Ruskies"

2018-07-19 20:06:45 UTC

The democrats love America yet they allow illegals to come in and spend our money on the same people that cause this country to go to shit.

2018-07-19 20:09:16 UTC

They don't "love" anything. They see their position as a tool to advance an ideology.

2018-07-19 20:11:18 UTC

And Americans are starting to realize what they’re doing, that’s why they have to degenerate themselves by chanting lol

<:covfefe:440543908846632980>

2018-07-19 22:00:08 UTC

but isnt chanting your countries name patriotic? And isnt being patriotic having national pride therefor a form of nationalism? The same thing that the democrats supporters seem to despise?

2018-07-19 22:00:12 UTC

my, my...

2018-07-19 22:04:21 UTC

Just imagine if republicans or Trump supporters did this? There would be mass outcry. How is chanting your countries name any different from MAGA? They're both boasting their countries name in a positive manner and being proud of it
