Naw more corrupt socialism

2018-08-09 01:36:22 UTC

because the gov still owned the means just via henchmen

2018-08-09 01:36:22 UTC

They weren't state run

2018-08-09 01:36:33 UTC

Party run

2018-08-09 01:36:36 UTC

State run

2018-08-09 01:36:42 UTC

And all planned

2018-08-09 01:36:42 UTC

In time of total war they were, not during peace

2018-08-09 01:37:12 UTC

Show me a socialist country that does not use the state to control the means of production and i will eat my shoe

2018-08-09 01:37:20 UTC

Or party

2018-08-09 01:38:30 UTC

Leather shoe would be quite the delicacy in Venezuela right now <:trumped:440551399772913674>

2018-08-09 01:38:39 UTC

During their *peace time* he nationalized everything and did his sudo privatization soon before it

2018-08-09 01:38:51 UTC

Well obviously I can't. During peace time the industry was privately owned by the industrial magnates that supported hitler for his antil socialist ideas. During the war when industry needed to be centralised for the war effort of course thr state took over

2018-08-09 01:38:58 UTC

But the economy was planned to the month

2018-08-09 01:39:26 UTC

Wasnt really anti socialist just a very specific kind

2018-08-09 01:39:31 UTC

It wasnt for ideological reasons, more so to support the war effort

2018-08-09 01:39:35 UTC

Is someone trying to defend socialism in this channel?

2018-08-09 01:39:47 UTC

Part of why he was so impatient with the invasion of russia

2018-08-09 01:40:10 UTC

the german economy was set to shift gears and the deadline was coming up. Many factories were already converted

2018-08-09 01:40:38 UTC

No just someone trying to deny Hitler had a socialesque economy

2018-08-09 01:40:56 UTC

Part of the *its not socialism* bs

2018-08-09 01:41:17 UTC

He had certain socialist elements, but concluding that he was far left for it is a huge stretch

2018-08-09 01:41:19 UTC

Hitlers system was quasi based on mussalini who made italy socialist.

2018-08-09 01:41:26 UTC

Oh no

2018-08-09 01:41:35 UTC

What threshold does it take to meet your definition of socialism?

2018-08-09 01:41:35 UTC

Even mussolini wssnt far left

2018-08-09 01:42:01 UTC

facism is about middle between communism and center

2018-08-09 01:42:24 UTC

Hitler was slightly right of that mark The nazi party just left of him

2018-08-09 01:42:29 UTC

Fascism takes up a wide range of the upper spectrum

2018-08-09 01:42:54 UTC

Depending on which actual fasist we are talking about

2018-08-09 01:43:01 UTC

The overwehlming number fall to the left. Especially if they followed what musilini created as facist.

2018-08-09 01:43:22 UTC

@DanConway socialism, as marx said is the stepping stone to communism by which the state has complete ownership of industry and the means of production. Private property does not exist and the economy is centrally planned to the needs of the workers.

2018-08-09 01:43:23 UTC

Only a small handful fall right. Most of those were like imperial japan

2018-08-09 01:43:27 UTC

South american "facism" was a lot more cneter

2018-08-09 01:43:48 UTC

Cause marx is a great intelectual that you take seriously

2018-08-09 01:43:57 UTC

Yes i understand that @Capitán Alatriste

2018-08-09 01:44:02 UTC

Well he coined the term

2018-08-09 01:44:15 UTC

So may as well use his definition

2018-08-09 01:44:16 UTC

Facism was created later

2018-08-09 01:44:31 UTC

So you mean if they are not using the policies as a stepping stone they are not socialist?

2018-08-09 01:44:32 UTC

taking from totalitarian regimes and socialism by musillini

2018-08-09 01:44:39 UTC

@DanConway that's my threshold
