i got into a huge argument in comments over whether or not socialism is a form of humanism

2018-11-03 18:30:56 UTC

Humanism is critical thinking, socialism isn't

2018-11-03 18:31:15 UTC

yeah, i mean socialism clearly isn't critical

2018-11-03 18:31:20 UTC

but then I see articles like this - https://thehumanist.com/commentary/what-is-socialism

2018-11-03 18:32:57 UTC

If our nation is so fragile as to be brought to it's knees by some harsh rhetoric, and it's so easy for it to be subverted by a single political party who has weaponized our system of laws and the attention span of the citizenry, then we weren't exactly in the best position in the first place.

Just "being nice" to each other won't fix these problems, and just kicks the can further down the road for it to come back even more vicious

2018-11-03 18:33:57 UTC

Maybe thats the plan? <:think_woke:378717098681171988>

2018-11-03 18:37:27 UTC

@Broo TulsiGang 2024 πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Irish PM looks like a confidence trickster, just looking at his face

2018-11-03 18:38:25 UTC

@Fitzydog Fair enough, but while changes take place, 'being nice to each other' is a good secondary priority maybe

2018-11-03 18:38:36 UTC

like when you do a military mission, there's priority 1 and then priority 2

2018-11-03 18:38:58 UTC

eg. Priority 1 capture the base and occupy it, priority 2 rescue civilians

2018-11-03 18:39:25 UTC

"Being nice" just let's the globalists/socialists continue to make things more difficult to undo

2018-11-03 18:39:49 UTC

lol no, i think being nice is just something people do to survive in the social climate

2018-11-03 18:40:01 UTC

if they're able to undermine what being nice does, then they've already won, imo

2018-11-03 18:40:08 UTC

like if they have that much spiritual control or whatever

2018-11-03 18:40:14 UTC

Alex Jones level of psychic control

2018-11-03 18:40:16 UTC

Like, how do you undo giving 16yos voting rights?

You don't. That's lost territory.

2018-11-03 18:40:24 UTC

lol

2018-11-03 18:40:25 UTC

hm

2018-11-03 18:40:31 UTC

as an example

2018-11-03 18:40:33 UTC

do 16 yo's have votes

2018-11-03 18:40:58 UTC

should be considered major electoral reform to lower the voting age

2018-11-03 18:41:05 UTC

Did you see the link above? DC wants to give them rights. And other Dems on the east coast have said the same

2018-11-03 18:41:17 UTC

ah ok

2018-11-03 18:41:25 UTC

no, i was just curious whether or not it already happened

2018-11-03 18:41:37 UTC

yeah i dont agree with that

2018-11-03 18:41:38 UTC

lol

2018-11-03 18:41:54 UTC

It's on the table, which means it will become a platoform issue at some point

2018-11-03 18:42:30 UTC

voting age :16, drinking age: 21 <:what:382980756139409409>

2018-11-03 18:42:53 UTC

"Voting is practicing how to be an adult."

2018-11-03 18:42:53 UTC

It's entirely about getting more votes for their team

2018-11-03 18:43:47 UTC

yep

2018-11-03 18:44:03 UTC

The slow march towards "social democracy" and authoritarian nightmare fuel doesn't get reversed.

2018-11-03 18:44:15 UTC

so what's that thing about article 5 being used

2018-11-03 18:44:19 UTC

Not without a lot of pain

2018-11-03 18:44:45 UTC

yeah, but the republicans are going to get a full house

2018-11-03 18:44:54 UTC

come mid terms, semper fi

2018-11-03 18:44:55 UTC

etc.

2018-11-03 18:45:40 UTC

Yeah, but then you still have 50million people at least in the country who want to continue the march

2018-11-03 18:46:14 UTC

meh, so they riot

2018-11-03 18:46:31 UTC

and then the other NPCs react
