2018-11-06 02:00:23 UTC

also didnt we already cut taxes? <:thronk:441701565607444482>

2018-11-06 02:12:23 UTC

We cut taxes temporarily

2018-11-06 02:12:25 UTC

Only through 2025

2018-11-06 02:12:34 UTC

The House passed making it the new default

2018-11-06 02:12:40 UTC

Needs the Senate to affirm it

2018-11-06 02:13:26 UTC

Which means if they don't succeed at it, whoever succeeds Trump is going to immediately get a Tax Hike under their administration

2018-11-06 02:15:03 UTC

@jigantie First tax cut was the upper brackets, and last week was the Middle class bracket

2018-11-06 02:15:38 UTC

Ah

2018-11-06 02:42:55 UTC

The first was all brackets. I was lower and got a cut.

2018-11-06 02:43:15 UTC

Legion is more on the dot. And more are comming for middle.

2018-11-06 02:43:52 UTC

If there was no lower or moddle bracket cuts with the first one. Dems wouldnt be crying about the "crumbs"

2018-11-06 02:55:01 UTC

Oh, yeah I was wrong probably. So Middle Class got two cuts so far? lol

2018-11-06 03:03:11 UTC

```Despite the House vote, it is unlikely the Senate will take up the legislation. The first round of tax cuts landed with a thud, with even a leaked Republican National Committee poll—reported on by Bloomberg News—showing American voters thought it benefited “large corporations and rich Americans” by an overall 2-to-1 margin and the same margin among independent voters.
Without special rules in place, the Senate would vote under normal procedures, which can require 60 senators’ votes to pass a bill that is heavily opposed.```
2018-11-06 03:10:52 UTC
Except that was largely misinfo. If you even read the bill, hell even the shorthand of the bill it was obviously not just for the rich.
As for the second round on middle class. Thats due to the middle class being rachetted down on so much. The lower is already pretty low taxes. And the upper use writeoffs to full effect.
