The repubs lost gubertorial races too

Only the senate was a win for them

Dems lost Florida and Ohio

Both were incumbents

Still, those are swing states that were pretty contested

I just think that a lot of people here are jumping to the worst outcomes too quickly. It's pretty normal to lose house seats in the first midterm

If you step back and look at the large picture, things aren't looking pretty for the DNC

They lost key governorships, they lost key senate races, most of the house seats they won were from neocons, a number of their potential candidates in 2020 got wiped
