For the senate

2018-11-07 11:19:42 UTC

this is typical though

2018-11-07 11:19:47 UTC

Correct

2018-11-07 11:19:58 UTC

If anything a Democratic house is good for Trump

2018-11-07 11:20:06 UTC

usually, the party opposite the president wins the house in the midterms

2018-11-07 11:20:06 UTC

He can blame them for everything going wrong

2018-11-07 11:22:06 UTC

What would you guys consider to be a first generation immigrant?
Someone who has emigrated to another country and now lives there, or someone who is the child of an immigrant and now is born and lives in the new country

2018-11-07 11:49:42 UTC

the latter

2018-11-07 11:59:08 UTC

Think is something like 1st generation born in the new country

2018-11-07 12:15:15 UTC

There is no clear definition. Officially, it can apply to both cases. I just wanted to hear opinions and thoughts on it

2018-11-07 12:16:17 UTC

Personally, I believe that a first generation immigrant is that who is the first generation of the family to move to the new host country, and sets up his life and family there for the unforeseeable future

2018-11-07 12:16:44 UTC

This would also apply to the children if they happened to emigrate with the parents

2018-11-07 12:17:23 UTC

This is just my opinion, I'm just curious to see what other people had to say about it

2018-11-07 12:28:40 UTC

First gen is for sure the immigrant that immigrates right? I'm just not for the whole "piggy back on one green card" thing that is a problem at least from what I hear

2018-11-07 12:29:20 UTC

Interesting. If a pregnant woman with another child moves and gives birth in the new country, one child would be first gen and the other second gen?

2018-11-07 12:29:36 UTC

oooooh

2018-11-07 12:30:03 UTC

So was the child born after the green card and move to the country?

2018-11-07 12:31:52 UTC

First one before moving, second after

2018-11-07 12:41:35 UTC

@Aldoggo yes, if you decide to abide to the first classification.

2018-11-07 13:15:04 UTC

Was anyone else kinda disappointed when that section of the wall was unveiled? Cause I was expecting a huge stone wall built like the ones in Total war, with stairs inside, and a path on top for patrols

2018-11-07 13:15:17 UTC

And it's kinda just a big fence

2018-11-07 13:16:41 UTC

lmao

2018-11-07 13:17:05 UTC

don't have the tech tree upgrade for giant stone walls yet

2018-11-07 13:19:15 UTC

Giant stone walls are kinda pointless. We're not trying to stop a trebuchet. Just people. A 30ft tall fence will do

2018-11-07 13:24:00 UTC

Don't forget they're not just metal piping making up that fence, they're internally reinforced with rebar and concrete

2018-11-07 13:34:30 UTC

Isn't there already a fence on most of the border anyways?

After 3 years you might have looked that one up

or just fix Spain instead <:think_madpepe:378717098630971395>

2018-11-07 13:45:49 UTC

@Capitán Alatriste It's a mixed bag. Some places are too remote for installation, others it's too crowded at this time

2018-11-07 13:46:23 UTC

There are some segments Bush and Congress ordered reinforced in 2006 that Democrats cut the cash flow on that are unfinished still

2018-11-07 13:46:42 UTC

Like they built the fencing, with segments open for gates so border agents could get through to the other side

2018-11-07 13:46:46 UTC

And they ran out of money
