The Trump administration hasnt gotten anything done.

2018-11-09 15:56:14 UTC

and more educated people tend to be liberal

2018-11-09 15:58:48 UTC

The first one is bullshit.

2018-11-09 16:01:12 UTC

The second one I could care less

2018-11-09 16:06:11 UTC

education =/= intelligence (that works both ways)

2018-11-09 16:07:22 UTC

Educated people are easier to indoctrinate

2018-11-09 16:08:14 UTC

and a lot of High education people tend to believe they are better then us all

2018-11-09 16:08:35 UTC

Because they can keep themselves in the bubble longer because they can keep convincing themselves they are right

2018-11-09 16:09:15 UTC

Statistically academics tend to be more liberal

2018-11-09 16:09:31 UTC

But what do they define as educated?

2018-11-09 16:09:33 UTC

Statically academics aren't self reliant

2018-11-09 16:10:32 UTC

Because a builder needs to be very well educated. Their work can kill if done wrong

2018-11-09 16:10:52 UTC

History studies? Not so much

2018-11-09 16:11:27 UTC

But a builder doesn't go to university/college

2018-11-09 16:11:55 UTC

(Sorry Aussie here, education system is different here)

2018-11-09 16:11:57 UTC

It's the phenomenon that Bret Weinstein calls "academic laundering"

2018-11-09 16:12:48 UTC

Or the empower has no clothes πŸ˜›

2018-11-09 16:15:51 UTC

Builder? You mean someone who works in construction?

2018-11-09 16:16:15 UTC

Or do you mean a civil engineer?

2018-11-09 16:16:30 UTC

1st one

2018-11-09 16:16:30 UTC

architect, carpenter, mason, welder

2018-11-09 16:16:35 UTC

Person A starts with a conclusion, and fits the results of their 'study' to support it, then publishes the paper in a journal.

Person B does the same thing, but then cites Person A as a supporting "study" lending credence to their conclusion.

Now you have a "legitimate" study being passed around as fact.

2018-11-09 16:17:15 UTC

Construction people in Aus are super well paid as well

2018-11-09 16:17:37 UTC

You wanna be rich here? Be a plumber

2018-11-09 16:17:53 UTC

Stupidly well paid

2018-11-09 16:18:02 UTC

How well paid?

2018-11-09 16:18:07 UTC

Middle class?

2018-11-09 16:18:19 UTC

Upper middle at least

2018-11-09 16:18:24 UTC

6 figures in the states if you're a unionized Master plumber

2018-11-09 16:18:25 UTC

Ah

2018-11-09 16:18:44 UTC

The trades pay pretty well here

2018-11-09 16:19:14 UTC

You're getting at least middle class pay

2018-11-09 16:19:31 UTC

Yep

2018-11-09 16:19:53 UTC

It's good (usually ) honest work

2018-11-09 16:24:54 UTC

But academics hate that @Silver0Fox

2018-11-09 18:42:06 UTC
