@Ondsinet Yep. The states that made the compact won't recognize the electorally elected president, and the rest of the nation wouldn't recognize the popular president

2019-03-16 19:19:01 UTC

The way they're doing it NOW is illegal

2019-03-16 19:19:09 UTC

Sorry?

2019-03-16 19:19:13 UTC

Yep or no lolo

2019-03-16 19:19:35 UTC

But if they do a constitutional convention, which is like typing 'sudo' in a terminal, they could make this change

2019-03-16 19:19:43 UTC

Wouldn’t that give states commonwealth powers. I’m starting to get fallout vibes

Gotcha

2019-03-16 19:20:22 UTC

Pretty shitty

2019-03-16 19:20:29 UTC

Which state has the nukes?

2019-03-16 19:20:38 UTC

Fallout styke

2019-03-16 19:20:44 UTC

@Ondsinet I said "yep" to your "sorry?", but no to your summary

2019-03-16 19:21:04 UTC

@Fitzydog yeah I got it thanks

2019-03-16 19:21:15 UTC

Lots of states have nukes

2019-03-16 19:21:23 UTC

They're almost all in red States lol

2019-03-16 19:21:29 UTC

Oof

2019-03-16 19:22:21 UTC

Thing is, the states who are pushing for this won't back down.

2019-03-16 19:22:30 UTC

This isn't going to go away

2019-03-16 19:25:16 UTC

@Fitzydog Would you say it’s time to “Fortunate Son” California.

2019-03-16 19:29:34 UTC

@meratrix More than that

2019-03-16 19:57:07 UTC

Why does UKIP not allow former bnp members to join them?

2019-03-16 19:59:17 UTC

Cause they're optics cucks

2019-03-16 20:00:07 UTC

Oh, I googled it

2019-03-16 20:00:09 UTC

Yikes

2019-03-16 20:00:45 UTC

Also @Fitzydog I watched that video and yeah I agree with him

2019-03-16 20:01:12 UTC

I was just saying that personally I probably wouldn't have the nerve to shoot someone

2019-03-16 20:02:05 UTC

And self defence is obviously a good idea, because the moment someone violates your right to life, they lose theirs, but personally I wouldn't take theirs to save mine

2019-03-16 20:02:08 UTC

Well that's fine. But the overlying philosophical concepts are what's important.

This is why we have guns, and not tasers

2019-03-16 20:02:11 UTC

Doesn't mean I wouldn't defend myself

2019-03-16 20:02:31 UTC

I'd probably just try to run but I'm shit at that too so I guess taser it is

2019-03-16 20:02:45 UTC

Imo tasers are enough but maybe I'm wrong and guns are the way to go

2019-03-16 20:03:17 UTC

But as far as I know tasers aren't really lethal unless you overdo it, whereas a bullet can be lethal even if it doesn't hit the heart or brain or whatever

2019-03-16 20:03:55 UTC

Like if I just try to handicap an assailant I'd go for the leg or something, but my aim might be bad and I could kill him by accident

2019-03-16 20:04:03 UTC

Even tho I didn't mean to

2019-03-16 20:04:06 UTC

But then you get into a weird area, that by not defending yourself through the use of deadly force, you are thus delegating that to someone else nearby, against their will.

Are you willing to shrug off your self defense onto someone else? Is that fair?

2019-03-16 20:04:21 UTC

Well no

2019-03-16 20:04:35 UTC

I just don't think deadly force is usually necessary

2019-03-16 20:04:45 UTC

But then I've never been in that situation so I don't know

2019-03-16 20:05:11 UTC

Just disarming someone should be enough imo, and somehow stunning them to prevent their escape until the cops arrive
