you can get a lot of VN crap for 30£ if you go to the pc market. but mobile games love to drain you of every penny they can

the only good games I've played on mobile have been PC game ports

im sure they have put in "energy" bars that slowly refill but for some gems it refilled

there's probably something there to timegate the content, yeah

to this day I dont think I have seen a mobile game dont time gate in some way

the pc ports generally don't

but can you really call those mobile games`?

most of the PC ports do want the money upfront so they have your money the moment you leave the app store

I've played the odd strictly mobile game that handles microtransactions in a way that isn't entirely gay

a lot of them also have you rate them maximum on the playstore for some kind of credit in the game

Leap Day is quite good, free to play, they make you watch an ad when you die, if you pay them to remove ads it also gives you automatic free checkpoints (otherwise checkpoints cost fruit that you collect and are manual)

making the rating system more useless than it was already, for determining what is worth spending money on

you can buy additional character skins (which do not change the game in any way) or you can eventually earn them but it's significantly slower

just overall scummy tactics employed by the developers

the game Im playing at mobile atm. do handle the micro trasactions fine imo. you can buy gems to use on stuff but it most for skins and such. if you play "normaly" and not super grind you will not have a problems with the recurses ingame

all the games these guys have follow similar model

im sure they have perfected said model down to almost perfection.

I got no issue with them offering in game extras for a small price as long as it's not mandatory purchase
