I'm just pointing out that when shit goes bad, the ship is destroyed by natural forces before it can hit anything at light speed
And most of the debris would be burnt up in atmosphere, partially due to the speed, but mostly due to their size
Well, I think that due to the speed it'd make it to the surface
Chunks would, sure
And they'd leave craters, mostly small but still craters
But the ship is torn apart at a microscopic level due to the speed and the forces acting on it
It was such an awesome movie, I wish it could be properly justified with the lore

The chunks of the Supremacy that get blown off by such a huge impact and explosion would take out most of the fleet, and I'm sure the Supremacy would also have a few explosions of it's own
