My main gripe with the leftist types is their keenness to mention how much a particular group is in danger or being maltreated but don't expect to ever have to demonstrate it. Or how they know. Or why. Or anything really.
I'd say their desire to prevent abuse is valid, but identifying that abuse, quantifying it, understanding the causes and who is responsible, along with how to actually improve the situation is where leftists are woefully unprepared.

Aye, double standards. Stems from two main problems, as far as I can tell. The lack of maturity to admit when they're wrong in the face of facts and the need to consider detractors from their views as not simply stupid or misguided but morally reprehensible. That latter thing is how religion insulates itself from other ideas, see the unbelievers as active villains.
