@JohnStrasser Parents who are unhealthy teach their kids to be unhealthy
Is that genetic?
Parents can influence action, but you can't teach your child not to have heart palpitations
You can't teach your child to have a higher IQ this has been proven
You can't teach your child not to have type 1 diabetes
Literally everything related to genetics only has 3 generations at most of extrapolated data to work with
And you also have the left trying to censor any kind of genetic studies related to IQ
@JohnStrasser Yes those terms are used as smoke grenades. I think there are a lot of tactics people use to avoid examining the topics at hand. We need to be strong to counter such push back
You have the water's being muddy by people claiming that all genetic study is some sort of eugenics program
that jewish guy in ricky gervais' new podcast keeps calling jbp alt right and i don't like it because i feel that he doesn't actually know what alt right is
@JohnStrasser Right, so until it happens, we should not broach the subject
Why
Or at least stay neutral
You're neutering yourself
and the reason they thought his education didn't matter was that he was religious and they are rampant atheists
MMk
Has it been proven that liberalism works?
atheists are the most fucked up religion
You sound like an alt-right faggot, so w/e
Has it been proven that freedom of speech is conducive to functional societies?
@JohnStrasser But you can teach your kids to be critical thinkers. You can encourage them to read and investigate. And you can do the opposite of those things
Has it been proven that free markets work?
@PickerLeech you can try, but you can't make an 85 IQ sub-Saharan African a critical thinker. They don't have the tools for the job
Why do you think that whenever European explorers landed on Africa and giant ships capable of InterContinental travel the Africans hadn't even invented the wheel
That's not because their parents didn't teach them to create the wheel it's because they didn't have the cognitive ability to develop the technology
@Fitzydog not an argument
You sound kind of like a leftist, but I'd still have a conversation with you
i actually think there are 2 kinds of IQ
one is genetic, and the other one is how you were raised from a young age, and they average out to your IQ
How do we know that proper nurture during the formative years of 0-4years doesn't impact IQ development?
Have we done studies about household structure and parenting styles?
(We haven't)
iq isn't a thing even
Improper nourishment can lead to lower iq
If that's what you mean
No it's not
there's many kinds of intelligence, you can't just quantify everything into one number
It just seems kind of silly to completely ignore something so important because it doesn't have as much research as you like
I mean being raised in a proper household with two parents, and a stay at home mother
That's like saying an economic debate is pointless because we don't have enough research to show which system is most functional
If that were true, yes
You're making a statement of fact, based upon little information, because it makes you feel better
O rly
