If Destiny is the best you can recommend, then RPGs are dead. I mean, the only current action RPGs I can think of rn are Destiny, and The Division, both of which are good looking games with decent gameplay, but are repetitious, with pretty barebone plots.
@Loredas outer worlds is decent. Nowhere near as good as New Vegas tho. And half the characters look like dykes

They also make a big deal about one of the companions being asexual.

Outer worlds was disappointing. I feel like the high reviews are mostly to spite bethesda, or because people are so damn thirsty for a decent game in this genre
