Dear god
I'm Canadian so I don't celebrate american thanksgiving
but I wrote a poem
"First off, what is Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks to all the people who gave their life and land so that the creation of America would be possible.
America, god's favorite country. (If god existed)
America, the land where jesus burried the gold plates. (If the Mormons are to be believed)
The land of the free, the home of the brave.
Baptised in the blood of the innocent.
A paradoxical nation with dazzling highs and hellish lows.
With a history filled with both some of the worst abuses of human rights and the most powerful civil rights movements which have spread far and wide beyond its borders and brought peace and civility for coutless minorities across the globe.
America. A country that made the world dream. A country where millions of people want to go.
At the same time the biggest threat, and a guarantor of world peace.
A land where the government is shit, but many of its citizens are my good friends.
Here's to many more years, and my love and support, for all of yall. (you say yall right?)"
