Academic prowess is inherited. These kids didn't have it. They spent $200 million babysitting them until they turned 18 instead of preparing them for their real lives ahead.
i'm not saying some coordinated shame campaign should be mounted, i'm saying the rest of the world is looking at china funny, and i think they're embarrassed
the did some green initiative in beijing (or another city perhaps), where they lined a main boulevard with new streetlights that had solar panels and wind turbines on top - ostensibly to power the lights.....
the solar panels were not wired to anything, and the wind turbines actually had motors on them that caused them to spin and rotate, giving the illusion that they were working. they were removed a couple years later
