with the various ministers acting like an extension of the Emperor

2019-10-28 00:49:28 UTC

usually when ministers had their own say

2019-10-28 00:49:36 UTC

it was a sign that the state was doing badly 😄

2019-10-28 00:49:44 UTC

@Weaboo Kempeitai u can look at other causes tho

2019-10-28 00:49:46 UTC

and/or that the Emperor was an incompetent

2019-10-28 00:50:05 UTC

@SPQR from new mm?

2019-10-28 00:50:08 UTC

like for instance, you could look at the population pressure or the speed of transfer of information

2019-10-28 00:50:21 UTC

the postindustrial changes were pretty wild

2019-10-28 00:50:23 UTC

yes that is another aspect

2019-10-28 00:50:31 UTC

Chinese Emperors had monopoly on information

2019-10-28 00:50:32 UTC

so I wouldn't chalk anything up to just being 'the system'

2019-10-28 00:50:40 UTC

and kept extensive records, to an autistic level

2019-10-28 00:51:03 UTC

also, these societies regularly collapsed, idk why you associate monarchies with stability

2019-10-28 00:51:04 UTC

it was said that the census conducted by Qin Shi Huangdi could tell every detail about millions of subjects

2019-10-28 00:51:19 UTC

seeing as this was in like 200 BC it is actually really impressive

2019-10-28 00:51:19 UTC

there was an average of like a civil war every century

2019-10-28 00:51:21 UTC

" It does not matter is the cat is white or black as long as it catches the mice " is what I think Deng Xiaoping said

2019-10-28 00:51:24 UTC

for these societies

2019-10-28 00:51:40 UTC

@Nerthulas tbh I don't think it was other causes, it was absolutely the Socialist system, which exasperates environmental pressures like population or poor harvest. No Socialist state is full-Socialist anymore, most inevitably transition to decentralisation and market economies out of necessity, North Korea is undergoing that transition right now.

2019-10-28 00:52:41 UTC

market economies yes, decentralization no

2019-10-28 00:53:21 UTC

Darth does this all day

2019-10-28 00:53:27 UTC

JF's debating Darth Dawkins guys

2019-10-28 00:53:30 UTC

they are basically transitioning to the prerevolutionary system lol

2019-10-28 00:53:35 UTC

And Darth is in full aggression mode

2019-10-28 00:53:41 UTC

wherein there is a central government with absolute power presiding over a market economy

2019-10-28 00:54:02 UTC

Okay, can you answer my question. Why do communist dictators attempt to control every factor of society, and inevitably fuck up? Why don't Monarchs attempt the same? What's their incentive not to?

2019-10-28 00:54:13 UTC

I don't see it on the search, but is episode 560 hidden or some such? I can't seem to find it on you tube or bitchute. I couldn't find anyone talking about it on the Search function around here.

2019-10-28 00:54:14 UTC

@JFGariepy Darth is talking duelism

2019-10-28 00:54:29 UTC

"Creator/Creation distinction"

2019-10-28 00:54:40 UTC

in China it was customary to issue commands and have people follow

2019-10-28 00:54:48 UTC

the symbol of authority is the axe

2019-10-28 00:54:51 UTC

oh can you throw out the link?

2019-10-28 00:54:55 UTC

The Korean empire experienced 200 years of absolute peace. I consider that evidence of the stability of absolute monarchies.

2019-10-28 00:54:59 UTC

because when people disobey you chopped their heads off

2019-10-28 00:55:01 UTC
